UPDATED: Toy Fair 2025 – M.A.S.K. by Loyal Subjects Preview Event Recap

Today The Loyal Subjects officially revealed their new M.A.S.K. retro line to the world at a special event in New York City, one day before Toy Fair 2025 kicks off.  The Loyal Subjects have the license from Hasbro to completely reproduce the original line in all it’s glory, from vehicles to figures to packaging and more.  We will update later with additional information, but for now enjoy the in person pics below!

Retro line, based on the originals.

Newly created molds from scratch

Some new molding features done, while respecting the originals (Mirrors on the Camaro, etc)

Using the Short Mask versions of the Masks for now.  Will decide on later releases that didn’t have short masks, later.

John Warden was there as a consultant for now, no official position at TLS at the moment, will see where it goes.

Line will launch at sites like Big Bad Toy Store and Entertainment Earth, wider release later on at more retailers.

Price point is collector based, $100 and down for wave 1, based on size.

Wave 2 is in works, set for later this year.

Potential for crossovers down the road, especially if John Warden has any input on those decisions (laughter).

Stickers will be consumer applied, not done at the factory.

There are some naming issues with copyrights.  They are working on it, but may need to adjust original names.

Boxes will be faithful to the original ones, look, feel, artwork, etc.

Personal notes – the line looked great in person!  These are all prototypes, so couldn’t physically handle them.  Visually tho, it’s on point.  The additions don’t seem to take away from the original vibe of the line, it’s got all the retro nostalgia you’d want.  If you are going to redo M.A.S.K. – this is how you do it.  Good luck to the TLS team on the launch, I’ll be grabbing some and hopefully you all will be too!  RE: crossovers – probably a bit away from that but I’ll take every single known 80s pop culture vehicle, plus Transformers and G.I. Joe ones, thanks.  :)
