Friday The 13th – NECA Ultimate Pamela Voorhees Figure – Pre-Orders Live

A listing has apparently leaked via Walmart.com (now removed), showcasing the first new Friday The 13th Figure from NECA in nearly 4 years. As you may recall, the Friday the 13th franchise was thrown into turmoil after competing claims to the original film by writer Victor Miller and director Sean Cunningham. The claims resulted in lawsuits and counter-suits over direct control of the film. Eventually, Victor Miller was awarded ownership (in the US) of the first film. Since then, the “Jason Universe” was announced, which sees Miller team up with Horror, Inc. to launch new Friday the 13th related projects. The overall rights to the franchise are still a tangled mess, as New Line (WB) owns the film distribution rights and other aspects, Sean Cunningham’s Horror, Inc. owns international rights to the entire franchise, Victor Miller owns US rights to the first film, and Sean Cunningham owns rights to anything that was introduced from Part 2 onward. Somehow, a new figure is coming from this mess of IP rights.

The new photos showcase a Friday The 13th – Ultimate Pamela Voorhees 7″ Scale Figure. The images give us a look at the packaging, the figure, and the accessories. Mrs. Voorhees includes four interchangeable portraits, a few swap out hands, a bow with arrows, a machete, a knife, an axe, and a broken oar. Now official word on price or release date is available. NECA has officially revealed the figure. The Ultimate Pamela Voorhees is going to be a one-time release. The figure is currently in-stock via The NECA Store, with pre-orders for a May release at other retailers going live now.
