Meh, probably one of the most boring character choices they could make.
I heard rumors this will include an alternate cloth cape that isn't ready to be shown yet, that could be a game changer for them if done right. The capes always were the weakest aspect about their figures IMO. |

Oddly devoid of any power effects...heat vision, frost breath, deflecting bullets, etc

I dig it. Some beams to plug into the heat vision head would've been cool though.

I will buy this although, I don't think that Superman really needs this treatment.

I think this figure looks fantastic! It gives me Superman Unbound vibe, and he has this exact uniform. I might get this one.

I forgot how ugly the New 52 Superman costume was.

I love how this suit looks. The new52 Superman suit was one that DC dropped the ball in explaining to their artists what it looked like.
Some went full on metal armor that made Superman look tiny inside it. Others went more a thick vest that emphasized Superman was a big dude. Then the panel lines just didn't work for many of them. They added too many and it was overpowering the rest of the suit. But when someone draw it well it was terrific. I think the design lends itself more to 3d models then a 2D image. So I love the metallic blue sheen and I think the articulation and cape works for someone who is drawn very dynamic and can defy gravity. I don't like to get super expensive figures like this but I do make exceptions at times. It's not like Mcfarlane Toy line value articulation as much as it should. So Superman options are limited. |

Thought about this Super fig....
Nice fig....However.... Like others here. It's is lacking.... Can't give a guy "just" 2 "heat vision beams? I'll give back some faces and hands... Geeez..... "Yamaguchi Hardcore" I guess ;^)

Can’t wait to buy this on PO. I think I’m going to love this figure.
I currently own two different Superman figures that’s $100 each. Mezco CR Superman and Mafex Hush Superman. To be honest, I like Mezco’s slightly better, but the cloth stuff bugs me. It worries me if I could risk ruining the fabric and the screen printed S on his chest. This Yamaguchi, there’s no risk of ruining fabric in his flight pose. Seriously, look at image 07. It’s beautiful! Even Mafex Supes can’t pull off this pose. Also love the stylish look of this one. Looks like he belongs in some alternate reality of DC vs Capcom 2 fighting game. |

I haven't bought any Amazing Yamaguchi recently but from what I've heard and seen in reviews they moved away from these types of joints a while ago. No more clicky.
But yes, they are different because of their crazy articulation. I like it though, they are fun to mess with. |

That's right, I think they changed it up with the G1 Optimus I wanna say. I havent paid too much attention to them since the Deathstroke release, which I ended up not liking very much.

I have the AY Deathstroke and it was my first AY figure. I don’t like that one, because of wonky knee joints like he’s been riding on a horse all day every day and when standing straight up, it looks severely bow legged but this Supes looks like he has similar knee joints to AY Joker’s, which I think is much better.

It seems like this one doesn't have articulated eyes, that's sad
