I don't know why, but I really want to back this whole line.

Not bad, I was thinking these might mix in with Mythic Legions; the paint doesn't look quite the same, maybe more shiny? But either way, I might be in the for the $90 three figure wave.

These could fit in well with MOTUC or Thundercats Classics figures

These look cool but the skirt armor really appears to restrict leg movement. Usually companies use softer materials here, and that might be the case with these too, but I wish more toy makers would copy Bandai and just put hinges on the side armor pieces so they sit loose on the legs and move outward alongside them.

Is this line based on an existing property or are they an original concept?

An original concept in the vein of Thundercats.

I got a lot of their 3.75" line. I backed their bigger gorilla figures (now shipping after a 2 year wait). This guy Jason does a lot of the stuff himself to be prepared for a wait, but it's worth it. I'll for sure back this. They did some homage figures in their smaller scale like Lion-O, hoping they do some unlocks like that this time around.

Feels like these guys are missing the charm of their smaller predecessors, for whatever reason. They all seem to have that "Anime Supporting Character/Antagonist Eyes" look:

I believe I'll pull the trigger and back the wave as they appear well made and the conceptualization is pretty satisfying. Additionally, should Habro make a High Evolutionary, which is very possible, this line would function ideally as a stand in for the New Men/Knights of Wundagore. Hopefully stretch goals and success will inspire the anthropomorphizing of additional species subsets. If Hasbro does cobble a High Evolutionary, I can't see them making any New Men outside of Man-Beast and these would be perfect in the absence of the manufacturer digging deeply into a little known (or celebrated) corner of the 616.

Now I wanna see these figures get their own animated series in the style of ThunderCats.

Looks like they hit their goal. BBTS just put the figures up for preorder too (at a slightly marked up price though).

Finally backed today for 3 figures. I'll probably get some of the add on heads and weapons as well.

Last day! I upped my initial pledge yesterday for some of the add-ons, sticking to the cats mostly.
