I was wondering if anyone else was having issues with Toys R Us
I pre-ordered some marvel figures on the site in June and a few weeks back the same items went on sale and were still listed as pre-order. I contacted support asking if I could get a price match since they had not yet shipped and they said no, so I asked to cancel and reorder and he told me not to do that he would escalate the issue and make sure I am taken care of. I waited a week with no answer, contact them they said to wait longer, which I did then contacted them another week later and the person told me they wont do anything and offered me a 10.00 coupon to be used in the next 10 days. I kept waiting and on 8/2 I was informed by e-mail that the items would not ship for another 15 days so I contacted them again and canceled the order and bought the items from BBTS. On 8/3 they decide to ship the items anyway. Now they are giving me a hard time about returning an order I canceled. Is this normal for them? I really want nothing to do with a company that operates like this. |

i can only speak from my experiences
but back in March i placed an pre-order with ToysRUs.com that in April got marked down in price from the original pre-oder price all i did was log into my account and canceled my original order and then “re pre-order” the items again at sale price without the hassle of calling and dealing with their CS reps all together as for the order(items) that was sent to you you can simply take it to your nearest TRU store and be fully refunded no hassle really as long as you still have the shipping invoice(receipt) another suggestion set up online account if you haven’t all already i rarely call CS for the most part for the simple fact that they are not really in tune with whats going on their own site and matters such as this sadly Last edited by LAWNMOWERMAN; 08-07-2015 at 12:00 PM.. |

Biggest issue i have is tru sends lotsa stuff like figures in bubble mailers instead of boxes,

Thanks for the replies.
I was going to cancel and reorder but the customer service agent I spoke with said not to do that and they will resolve it for me. HE stated that he escalated the issue and then about 4-5 times I went back to support and they were still working on it. After about 2 weeks I went to support and some random agent said its against there policy to price match, even tho they were matching their own prices. He offered me a 10.00 coupon that expires in 10 days and that was all he would do. I really do not understand how such large companies get away with horrible technical support. I only ordered the figures so I would not have to find them, but to have the company i pre-ordered from then lower the price by 4.00 each after is a bit insulting in my view. Add to this the fact that they already charge more then retail on many of their products. To make everything worse the order arrived incomplete. Two of the 7 items are missing from the box so I must once again contact support |
