Looks like one of these that'll look really good from about 6-8 ft away but progressively worse the closer you get. Pretty iconic character so I get it but I do wonder how many people will rush out to buy this. The Ace Ventura ship sailed 20+ years ago.

Good call on the Crudup. Think the paint detail for hair is off, particularly the eyebrows. It's way dark and thick throughout, needs to thin a bit towards the temples. Much like certain characters, some you want some extreme posability in their figure, but for anything with Jim Carrey you would want a ton of face expressions. ASMUS I think have a few earlier versions of this, the headsculpts on those were pretty bad, this is better but its off.
IF anyone wants this, I think the only thing that would save it from being a poor seller is if the sunglasses popped on and looked great and pull off the pose that oxidative mentioned earlier. |
