I'm in the market for a good HULK toy. What version is the best? If you could please post pics of the one you like so we all can take a look.
Thanks

I would go with the Marvel Select Hulk. The Legends Hulk okay but this one is incredible (no pun intended)

He has 14 points of articulation. Not bad but not as good as the standard legends Hulk. I can live with less articulation as long as the sculpt is solid.

I was going to suggest this one as well. I've always found it to be a really well detailed mold, with some fairly good pts of articulation.

Toybiz Marvel Legends Face Off Hulk(the one that came packed in w/Leader)
Based on art by Sal Buscema, articulation is as is follows:ball jointed shoulders/hips/neck, bicep swivels, elbow hinges, wrist swivels, wrist hinges, finger hinges, ab crunch, waist swivel, thigh swivels, double jointed knees, universal movement ankles, and foot hinges. I got it because it is a huge figure(one of the biggest Hulks), the articulation is excellent, and he is based on the Sal Buscema artwork. The best recent Hulk is King Hulk from the recent BAF storyline. Same articulation as the figure I mentioned above, only with ball jointed ankles, no finger articulation, and no double jointed knees or foot hinges. Great design, one of the only Hulk figures with weaponry, and it is based on how Hulk looks in the Planet Hulk/World War Hulk storylines, both of which were excellent and were my primary influences to buy the figure. Seen here |

It really depends on which version of the Hulk you're talking about really. If you're talking Grey Hulk, then the current Hasbro version rocks! Savage Hulk? Then the Face Off version is the best. Then of course there's Professor Hulk, King Hulk, etc etc.
Decide which version you want first, then go from there. |

Most Hulk figures have fugly heads imo. Good ones are very rare. That's why I dig the Face Off one as mentioned above, it's got my absolute favorite face sculpt for the character so far.
My other pick is Smart Hulk from Hulk Classics. That said, I do like the BAF Red Hulk a good bit too, but it's a bit of a pain to track down the other individual figures to build him. Last edited by Ktulu; 11-29-2008 at 02:38 PM.. |

I forgot about that one. I guess I am still digging that Marvel Select Hulk. It looks fantastic in person.

The great thing about King Hulk is that he is easy to obtain(he is recent after all), has armor molded on, comes from an excellent storyline(he beat the crap out of both Iron Man, and Doctor Strange, and the story, oh man what a great read), and has two bladed weapons. Articulation is great too, first Hulk in a while that has double jointed knees instead of the ball jointed kind.

I've been partial to the green version of the Legends 1st apperance figure. All others I've seen have fugly heads (especially the newest movie ones)

It's like the cover of Iron Maiden's "Number of the Beast" only in comic form.

People don't forget the gamma punch hulk, great sculpt and the best articulation. I'd say gamma punch and face off hulk are the best marvel legends hulks.
