The ROTF line was launched last month and since then, and some of the figures ended up being stellar. So in your opinion, what are the best ROTF toys out right now? Here are mine:

I've only picked up a few, been busy with Marvel lately but here's my take:
RAVAGE- nice deluxe with lots of poseability and playability. Alt mode lacks though. jaw gimmick is pretty neat as well. Overall my favorite of the ones I've picked up thus far. STARSCREAM- A HUGE improvement over the 07 model. Much more poseability and lot less kibble, more streamlined in both modes SOUNDWAVE- my fav character and yet this model is both short and lack alot in the way of poseability. Alt mode is well it's ok for a satellite but lacks alot still SWIDESWIPE- Really great alt mode and the bot mode is good as well. Love the sword gimmick. Has limited arm poseability due to shoulders though. Small legs and large shoulders make standing alittle difficult. RAMPAGE- very difficult transformation and the "jackhammer" mode to me is just a waste. Great alt mode though and I really like the spidery bot mode SIDEWAYS- again a great alt mode but the bot mode lacks something. Again the chicken legs and large torso make for difficulties in standing and some poses. Overall though I gotta say the ROTF figures are better than the 07 movie line or at least the ones I've picked up are. |

The Basics(Scout) Class figures:
I don't have all of them, but they are the most creative and ingenuitive out of all the figures. I have Knock Out, Dune Runner, Depthcharge, and Rollbar. All badass figures. None of them exude that "Bayformer"-esque look to them, imo. Maybe Depthcharge...but he's just awesome anyways. Ravage: Just awesome. He has the Bayformer look that I despise, but he works. He really does. Top that with some incredible articulation, and you have a great animal Transformer. I do have Sideways and Sideswipe, but I'm not going to say they're among the best. Mainly because I only find their alt modes appealing. Everything else out there in stores doesn't interest me at all. Mainly because they're just repaints, too "Bayformer"-ish, or cost more than the last movie but with less quality.

I'm only going to go by what I've picked up, since I can't really comment on what I don't already own. That said, here is my list:
HA Bumblebee - Just as awesome as Shin and everyone else has said. Worth every penny. Even the Sam figure is fun as it works with most Alternators! The entire Scout line - I will echo Runamuck's sentiments in that I have every mold so far except Dune Runner (who I hope to pick up soon) and they all rock! Any one of them could fit into almost any line, since the "Bayformer" style is very subdued and the alt modes are far-ranging. Skids and Mudflap - Two of the funniest (IMO) characters in the movie are captured quite well in their respective Beat and Trax versions. Of the two, toy-wise I actually prefer Mudflap as his robot mode looks better to me (without doors hanging off his ankles). Sideswipe - Really slick alt mode and good robot mode. His best feature has to be his swords. My only gripe is the wheel feet, but with a little fiddling I can get him to stay standing. Wheelie - A great toy that has the same trick as Animated Lockdown: deluxe-sized alt mode with an almost voyager-sized robot mode. Wheel feet can be an issue here too, but Wheelie has a better center of balance than Sideswipe. Honorable mentions - Soundwave and Ravage. Soundwave is a little too short IMO and Ravage's alt mode is not all that inspiring. But hey, it's fricking Soundwave and Ravage! They were considered bought the minute they were announced. Now if only the birds could get some movie love...
