The body sculpts are amazing and extremely poseable. I am hoping the snake lower bodies will be "wireframe-skeleton+rubbery plastic".
My only gripe is that they should really make at least a few of those many Gorgon molds to have realistic snake-heads, as in many depictions of Medusa/Gorgons in games/cartoons they have those (see Daikatana or the latest God of War). Last edited by BB Shockwave; 05-29-2014 at 01:12 AM.. |

With the Kickstarter in full swing, I thought I'd post some of the artwork for possible future assortments. All of the images come from their website:

Funding goal reached. They have over $76,000 pledged now and over a month to go. Awesome.

From BFS's Facebook page:
"In the meantime...from Series 2...I give you our Knight control art. There will be two different deco variations as well as the skull-headed Dark Knight!! There will also be an additional helmet that has yet to be designed and I would guess a few more mix and match parts with more deco variations to boot. But the initial three deco possibilities (these deco's are NOT final) are on there. ENJOY!!!" |

I like how you can pledge large amounts of money and yet there's no stretch goal that just guarantees you every figure. If I were to pledge upwards of $1000, and I'm not saying I will... who do I look like, Big Daddy Morebucks? But I'd actually prefer that over a resin copy or my likeness on a card. Especially for something that I'm pretty much gonna buy and support when it hits retail.
Yes, I'm behind these guys, but I have found something I'm not too thrilled about. Last edited by Enigma2K2; 06-16-2014 at 10:19 AM.. |

Those who pledged to Wave 1 and above will be able to purchase the figure for $25
Is that all? Why not charge $50 or $100 seeing as how rich all these toy collectors seem to be? They'll pay it! It amazes me how all these guys can cover all their bills & the high cost of living & still have shit tons left over to blow on this stuff. And most of them have wives & kids to add to their bills. But they still manage to pay all these ridiculous prices with no problem. Where do you work? How can I get a job like that??? Last edited by Catatronic; 06-16-2014 at 10:10 AM.. |

If someone chose that level to fund, then they had up to 45 or so days to scrounge together that money. If $115 sounds like an exorbitant amount of money to get together in that amount of time, then frivolous spending such as this shouldn't even be in the picture.

I'm not sure why, of all the threads out there, that this was the one where you decided to vent frustration at the spending on crowd funded items. There are those out there who work hard, work smart and know how to build up some savings, so that when something comes along that they want to spend money on, it's not going to break their bank accounts.

Why only charge $25 when you know you can get a lot more? They can easily get $50 or $75 per figure. Just look at Marvel Legends, they could probably get $35-$50 for each figure. So why only charge $19.99? Last edited by Catatronic; 06-16-2014 at 10:46 AM.. |

Other people comment on the ridiculous prices all the time & nobody says anything to them.

The Kickstarter is there to get this line off the ground, which is the reason they have said they are charging the prices they are. Are they expensive for 3.75" figures? Sure, but that's the cost of a new start up for a few hundred figures. Kickstarter is not a retail store, it's a way to acquire funds to actually go into production.

Apologies this is my introduction to Kickstarter. Are they offering these as "special" figures and selling them for seed money for an online store or is this how they will sell figures until the kickstarter funds run out? What's the process endpoint?

Initially, by funding the Kickstarter, you will have access to figures. Now that the project is funded, they will go into production with the actual figures. Once production is done, they'll probably update on availability for general fans who weren't in on the Kickstarter.

Ths could turn out to be one of the most epic toylines ever.
I wish I held back a lil on the Marauder Kickstarter so I could pledge more to this.

For those following this Kickstarter the total is nearing $220,000 AND apparently there is a $20,000 pledge hitting on the last day so $240,000 is a certainty at a minimum. This means a minimum of 32 figures in the line (if they hit $255K then it will be 34 figures). I went with the $500 "All In" pledge which means at $15.62 a figure (if it hits 34 then it drops to $14.70 a figure). Anyhoo, anyone holding out on this I would take a look soon as they are in their last 4 days.
