Let me start off by saying I extremely disliked the whole Knightfall saga in the comics. Then editor Denny O'Neil admitted that the second 1/2 of the story was written as they went along and it shows. I almost think Bane, no matter what any writer or artist does with him in any medium, is as ill conceived of a character as Professor Pyg. I really don't think this movie will top The Dark Knight in terms what that movie did for the whole comic book movie genre those only come around once in a great while, Superman 1978 comes to mind. The more I see leaked on the internet, the more I feel validated in that thought. However, what Nolan has done with second and third tier Batman villains like Ra's Al Ghul and The Scarecrow in Batman Begins proves that he can hopefully make a character like Bane the force to be reckoned with that he was always intended to be. My only reservation with Catwoman is that so many storytellers in the past have jumped too quickly to the romantic aspect of her relationship with Batman. Let's hope it's as a long of an infatuation/courtship a 2 hour movie will allow. I guess we'll find out how good this movie really in the summer.

As far as a 3 3/4 figure line, I have a couple that some dude randomly gave me yesterday, and they are very detailed but much like the GL figures they lack articulation. They're right in scale with MU, but the lack of articulation leaves something to be desired.
Now for the upcoming movie: The cast is amazing. Say what you want about Anne Hathaway, but she is naturally beautiful and has a big enough frame to pull off being a bad ass. She could probably kick the shit out of a street thug if she had the right moves, and she isn't rough on the eyes either. Much like Kate Beckinsale in Underworld Catwoman will be wearing a skin tight leather suit which I don't totally agree with but it represents a realistic interpretation of her and she can still look like a sexy cat burglar. As we all know Nolan is trying to stay as realistic as a Batman film possibly can, so the idea of even having a character named Catwoman is silly and anything he can do to make that less chessy on screen is ok with me. Now onto Bane - great choice for an actor - and I see why many of you don't agree with his size. I remember discussing this with some of you guys a while back, and I pointed out that his adrenaline has to be based in reality, so they will probably make him a drug addict. My guess is that he will be a big guy, and when he injects himself he gets all steroided out and can't feel pain. I know that if I were Batman, I wouldn't want to fuck with a crazy asshole who can take a spiked punch to the face without flinching. And guys, we're not saying Bane is immortal, because that would be stupid. He is a screwed up human with issues that Batman has to defeat, and he is probably going to kick Batman's ass.... at least at first. Christopher Nolan has been known to take the best elements of Batman's lineage and apply them to film, and I trust that he'll wow us once more. |

You guys wanna know something thats really getting on my nerves about this film in all honesty. The Batwing. I don't know why, it just really bugs me and kinda destroys any loose sense of realism we may have had :/

Yeah, I don't know what to think of that. It's interesting that the military version on the Tumbler is in that shot too, I wonder what that is all about?

If only. A lot of spoiler images show the 2 embracing meaning that there's definitely a relationship.

TDK is so good, it was on the other night, I felt compelled to watch it.
I ended up staying up too late and being out of it the next day, but it was worth it. Bane is one of my favorite villians. I collected Knghtfall when it was first released and it made a big impact on me when I was a kid. I hope Rises, rises to the occasion, but I just don't see it. Hathaway sux, Begins sucked, and TDK in my opinion will be tough to beat.

Well, another year of The Bat & I have the fever. I've been reading a lot of theories and one that makes the most sense to me (since there's supposed to be an 8 year gap between 2 & 3), is that the 3rd movie starts off right where the 2nd left off with Bane doing his thing to Bruce pretty much immediately and then it takes eight years for Bruce to get back to being a ninja.
And who saw Sherlock Holmes? Speaking of the scene where Downey was dressed as a woman; how perfect would he be as an older Joker? I know we'll never get there, but with The Dark Knight Rises being 8 years after Joker goes to prison, then add some years for a fourth and have Joker broke out... which would put Heath looking about Downey Jr's age. And anyone who saw Game of Shadows knows the Joker scene I'm talking about.

8 year gap? maybe bane breaks the batman at the beginning of the film, heals for 8 years, and rises again.

just seen the Bane prologue (i.e. first 6 mins of dkr) and i think this movies gonna be the best of the year, Tom Hardy is an amazing actor, i've loved his work since i saw Bronson and before i even knew who he was in Star trek where he plays a Piccard clone. They couldn't of got a better actor for bane imo

I still had a hard time hearing what Bane said. And that vest is bulky and makes him look kinda chubby and not ripped. It takes away from his arms. I think it will be a good story, and I know I'm going to like it, but that just wasn't a great trailer for me.

I'm agreeing here. I'm sure the movie will be awesome, but this trailer isn't psyching me up for it.

They're doing viral marketing for the film, and apparently people are encouraged to tweet about real life graffiti that has been strategically placed in certain places. Awesome. I don't use Twitter, so if anyone can post the pictures I'd appreciate it.
