I won't comment on the body because it's obvious that he's wearing some kind of massive armor protection under that oversized jacket. But I will be disappointed if Maybelline doesn't offer a Patterson line of mascara.

That figure looks like it’s made in the mid 90’s. That’s so McFarlane.

These are turrible as Charles Barkley has often said. Hollywood costume people suck when it comes to Superhero costumes. The cast is a bunch of actors/actresses that no one wants to see in a movie aka they were cheap contracts. The movie will do less than $125m worldwide. From the great director and cast of the previous trilogy to the dregs of a trash can found at the docks of LA/Long Beach for this movie.

Fans & WB: "Hey Todd, we've got Fandome coming up, think you might want to reveal some great new DC figures?"
Todd: "Nah, I'm good, think I'll just reveal some Batman toys" Fans & WB: "Yeah, but there's so many characters out there... Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Teen Titans... your line has a lot of Batmen... some might say it's 90% Batmen..." Todd: "Yeah, I'm good, love me some Batman" Fans & WB: "Really, no other characters, just Batman?" Todd: "Yup, pretty sure that's why I named it Batman Multiverse" Fans & WB: "Uh, but it's called... DC Multiverse" Todd: "Oh... whoops." |

I think I'm officially done buying the movie figures from McFarlane. This looks awful and barely looks like Robert Pattinson. The scale of the head is not proportioned to the rest of the body which this line screws up from time to time.

That doesn't look too bad, I think the lack of 5oclock shadow hurts the resemblance but it's more on point then Bruce.

Oh good, more side eyes. I'm really starting to dislike McFarlane having the license.

Riddler is less Ledger Joker and more Zero Year Riddler it seems.
That Bruce Wayne is hilariously stupid. I guess it's good for a generic homeless man in your display? Shame he's not in the same scale as Angry Nerd Hood. |

Awesome Carmine Falcone figure /s
And he's looking side eye, too. Maybe all the figures con look to the right for an awesome display of everyone looking sideways! Last edited by IzzyTipsy; 01-03-2022 at 08:04 AM.. |

The trailers make the movie seem like a re-hash of Nolan's trilogy, not just the "realistic" angle but in terms of the scenes, settings, scenarios, etc.
The Penguin's over-enunciation of words (just like Carmine Falcone in Batman Begins) Batman zooming up and down with his grapnel through a circular stairwell (Batman Begins) Batman fighting people in a crowded dance club (The Dark Knight) The Riddler's "live stream" is just an internet-ized version of Joker making a video recording that was then broadcast on TV in The Dark Knight Batman walking through a dark tunnel with strobe light effects from guns (The Dark Knight Rises) And yes, Paul Dano is playing Riddler, not Joker, but this Riddler seems more interested in testing Batman than in carrying out an agenda about himself (such as committing crime to make money). This is pretty much identical to the Heath Ledger Joker in The Dark Knight, down to the interrogation scene in the police station. Plus lots of Joker/clown goons, so either there's going to be a build up to Joker, or -- wild theory -- this Riddler will become Joker somehow. Much like how Star Wars Episode 7,8,9 are pretty much just 4,5,6 done in a different order: A desert boy/girl, who has a mysterious past met a droid, took off on the Millennium Falcon to return the droid to the owner, after stopping by a cantina and some wandering inside the Deathstar/Starkiller Base, the Rebels/Resistance was able to blow up the Deathstar/Starkiller Base at its weakest point. Then the desert boy/girl went to find a secluded grumpy Jedi Master to learn the way of the Force, but had to cut the training short because he/she had to save his/her friends. Then there was a battle on snow/salt against giant Walkers using Speeders, and the Rebels/Resistance barely escaped with what's left of the group. Grumpy Jedi Master died, faded away and then came back in the next movie. Then the desert boy/girl found out about his/her heritage, had to confront Palpatine (this one is the SAME!) because he has another Deathstar/fleet of Deathstar Star Destroyers, so the Rebels/Resistance split into 2 groups, an air attack that waits for a ground team to destroy an antenna. Then Palpatine showed the boy/girl the battle overhead, that the Rebels/Resistance are lost, but last minute the black clad villain Vader/Ren redeemed himself by turning to the good side. Then Vader/Ren died and the Rebels/Resistance had a party and a lot of huggings. It's the same movies. |

Very keen observations. Is Hollywood running out of ideas?

The music score composer also wrote music for some of the Star Wars movies. His "Batman" theme (when the words THE BATMAN appear) sounds just like the Imperial March.

Well, they clearly are changing it up if those Flashpoint movie rumors are to be believed.
We better not get a DCEU Supergirl before we get the actual one! |

At least put the bike helmet on.....
Okay Mcfarlane. As a company you need to address two things or not do certain figures. 1A: Head Sculpt. They should just look better. If the paint apps are too expensive then the sculpt needs to be stronger to make up for it. 1B: The design of the hair is terrible on figures that aren't bald have the time. I know they can do better because The Drowned has very nice hair. That's where characters should be getting a sense of life or motion. Not this claymation hat hair. That DM Superman would have been much better with the same head sculpt if the hair was wild and floaty. Same with ZSJL Aquaman who especially has wild hair even when wet. 2) Torso articulation. I think this should apply to all figures but let's narrow in on vehicle users. That Bruce figure can't ride that bike without looking like he's tied to a board. He can't learn forward like someone on a bike actually does. I know they want this statue seamless look(even with the face being incredibly weak) but then you can't sell accessories that depend on decent torso articulation. Articulation is not forming an L with the legs. That's the legs articulating. The torso needs to crunch over itself. If the first two can't be done then stop doing figures based on real faces and choose vehicles that don't need an ab crunch. |

And yes, maybe the torso is too bulky, but as we've seen from on-set pictures, they really dressed him that way. I think the Riddler looks awful, but that isn't McF's fault (it's the filmmakers').
