It's a shame that 75 % of what we have seen so far have been designs from the revamp. I was hoping BTAS would get more love in this line with TNBA sprinkled in but this does not seem to be the case. I'll buy 2 of every BTAS design (maybe 4 of Batman) but will be passing on all TNBA figures.

There already is one. It came out relatively recently. I'd say some time in the last 10 years.

Yeah I don't see it being very successful if they keep doing TNBA figures. The revamp had like 24 episodes where as BTAS had over 80 and a theatrical film. When people think of Batman in the DCAU they think of BTAS, not TNBA. I feel exactly the same way. I'd be happy if each wave was 3x BTAS/ 1x TNBA. That figure looks great but I have always hated the crappy cheap rubber arms. I wish Mattel would release it again with a new arm design. Maybe I'm in the minority, but I don't think of BTAS Bats at all. I see the redesigned Batman (also seen in the flashbacks in Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker) in my mind's eye, along with the tweaked version of it that they continued to use in Justice League and Justice League Unlimited. Now that I think about it, JL/JLU Joker is my favorite DCAU version of that character. BTAS Joker is second best, in my opinion. Man, I'm gonna have a mixed shelf if this line blows up. |

I prefer the redone version of Batman as well.

Guys, the first wave has one BTAS figure and three BTNA figures. Wave Two will have three BTAS figures and one BTNA figure.
Don't worry. Honestly, BTAS all the way for me. I don't like like the redesign looks. Hate the V shape of all their bodies, and don't like the style. Some of the designs are alright. but BTAS is where it's at. Last edited by Penguino; 04-07-2014 at 10:59 PM.. |

I wouldn't mind the redesigned Batman if he had the yellow insignia. I just think that insignia on his chest is so much better and unique than a giant black bat stitched onto it. Don't get me wrong, I like the redesign, but I find it to be inferior to the first one. Plus, I really liked the blue shading that was mixed in there whereas the redesign one lost all of that for just a straight up flat black color all around.
