Good review. My main gripe is simply the bad costume: "CYCLING LEOTARDS Captain America." Blech. Then there are the googly eyes and man boobs. I wonder why they even bothered with the corpse-like movable eyeballs. Better to have eyes fixed and pointing in the same direction! Figma did such a classy job with Iron Man Mk VII; it's a shame that they didn't do justice to one of Cap's better outfits, and make the face look more like Cap's face. Maybe next time. (Figma's Iron Man Mk VII is still my favorite 1:12 figure, though I am keeping an eye on Play Imaginative's upcoming Iron Man figures, although word has it that their light-up armors have been bogged down in production, and they seem to be focusing on getting War Machine and Iron Man Mk 42 onto store shelves, which is a shame, as the market already seems saturated with those. I'd much rather see their Mk 8 or 9 or the Stealth model or other more interesting and unique armors showcased back at the 2013 SDCC.)
Anyway, thanks for the good Cap review. |

Anyway, thanks for the good Cap review. I'm eyeing the Sentinel Amored Iron Man that's now up on BBTS. Really on the fence on the Thor fig from this line yesterday but still got it today LOL I do agree with your points regarding the Cap fig -- the eye feature's cool but it seems hard to get it all even and proportioned. haha! |
