My daughter has a Diamond Select Avatar Toph figure that she loves, but she recently removed both of her legs by accident, trying to get her to sit down. It looks like it’s an easy fix, but has so far proven to be incredibly difficult, so I figured I’d come to the customizers for help.
Please see the attached pictures. The trouble is that the hooks on her hips don’t leave enough of a gap for the rods on her thighs to fit back in, but the plastic seems to be too rigid to pull back to widen the gap. Trying to force them through the gap seems likely to just bend the hooks in, causing them to snap. I worry that if I boil and warp the hooks, I won’t be able to re-form them because the legs will render them inaccessible. I can’t see an obvious way to remove the hips from the body without causing more damage, and I’m also worried about snapping her loincloths. Anybody have any tips? |
