I pre-ordered this months ago from Entertainment Earth and have been eagerly anticipating its release ever since. The version offered through EE is exclusive and has the wheels that flip down into flight mode.

That's awesome, but I thought it was going to be 1/18 scale. *confused*

It was originally announced as 1/18 but also advertised as being able to fit 3 3/4 action figures, but 1/18 vehicles are just barely too small to comfortably fit GI Joes and other figures of the same size. 1/15 is just a little bigger, enough that figures can fit inside.

Yes, Marty from parts 1, 2 and 3. Same goes for all the character really. The guys at Diamond Select have stated that if this thing sells well they would like to produce the other versions of the time machine from the other films, including the train from part 3. Sadly, they also say that there are no plans at this time to produce figures. Probably has something to do with actor's likeness issues. Sucks.

Would it have been too much to ask to make it 1:18 scale? Who does 1:15 scale? Nobody.

I'm happy that its in 1/15, I actually prefer it. If I couldn't fit any of my MU or Joe figures in it I wouldn't buy it. Just my opinion, though. I know a lot of people collect true 1/18 vehicles and this will look slightly bigger by comparison.

1:15 is just an odd size. In the medium size 1:24 and 1:18 are the most common with 1:12 for the slightly larger ones. I cannot think of anything else that I have seen that is 1:15 scale.

It’s like when Hot Wheels made their Batmobiles 1:50 scale instead of matching the 1:43 scale Corgi used for their Batmobiles and making them both fit in together.

I pre-ordered the Entertainment Earth exclusive the first day they had it posted up on their website.

I'm still upset that they had to remove the DMC logos and Delorean name from the vehicle though. It almost made me want to cancel my pre-order.

hiya guys, I purchased one of the 'entertainment earth' Part II Deloreans from BTTF.com's Time Travel Terminal — Where Future presents are no longer a thing of the past! here are some pictures of it .

Looks pretty cool huh? but wait, there's more

Look, opening gull wing doors!

Fold down wheels for 'flying mode'

Oh, and did I mention it LIGHTS UP!

Back view, dig the lights in the rear 'vents' .

Parked next to my wearable (color shifting) Marty 2015 hat!

Sitting next to ROTF 'leader class' Prime in truck mode

The model is 1/15 scale, about 14" long
the following lights up:
Head and Tail lights
Bumper and side coils glow blue
Rear vents light up
Gauge cluster, and the time display panel on dash light up
The Flux Capacitor (which is WHAT makes time travel possible) lights up too!

Oh and there are sound FX too, everything from 3 different time travel bits (coils glow blue to go with the appropriate sound/s), Delorean starting up, Delorean peeling rubber, Delorean trying to start with a dying battery, the sound of the gull wing door opening, and the sound of the car lowering down to the ground and the wheels going from horizontal to vertical to land !
