that is simply gorgeous.

i really want to collect all of the figuarts avengers figures.. too bad they're sold out on BBTS.. looks like i just test my luck with ebay when they're released.

as far as toys go for avengers 2.. what i want most is an iron man mark 45 hot toys figure.. i assume once the 43 is released they'll show off 45. with their love of the license, i can't see hot toys skipping a mark 45.

also.. i wonder what armor he'll use in civil war.

His Civil War armor has already been revealed, it's a movie version of the bleeding edge

That's a fantastic figure of the armor. There's going to be a lot of pain for those who don't order it and have to get from resellers.

At that price you can buy a Hot toys Ironman mark 42/43 or just any random hot toys even the hot toys igor came out in japan with the same price

not worth it for me and it seems like why is everyone (milking/making this figure hard to get)

and i think the only die cast are the gold parts?

I think it's fantastic looking, but it's completely out of scale with any HT figure. If it was say 1/9 scale, then I'd seriously consider it over the HT version. Go big or go home, right?

Bad-ass, I already pre-ordered mine at Nippon-Yasan.

I don't understand the complaint, one person wants it to be the same size as a Hot Toys figure even though it's SH Figuarts which is a completely different scale. And another thinks it's too expensive when you can buy a regular HT Iron Man for that price... well, can you buy a HT Hulkbuster for that price? No you can't, because the Hot Toys one is $800+. So what's the issue? Can you buy an HT Iron Man Mk 43 for $50 like you can an SH Figuarts? No? Then why would you buy an HT when it's too expensive?

the hot toys hulkbuster is 4 times more expensive than a regular hot toys,, the figuarts hulkbuster is 6 times more expensive than their regular figuarts and figuarts increased the price of their avengers figures simple on the basis that they knew they would sell so they made them more expensive.. just because something is more in demand doesn't mean you can just increase the price... im looking at you medicom with your woody figure!!

How many of you collect Tamashii Web Shop Limited items or at least pay attention to their pricing? Soul Spec series are not cheap for example. The last one, Gilgazune went for nearly 200 USD and it's not as bulky or complex as this figure. This isn't meant for casual collectors. Same goes for Hulkbuster from Hot Toys, King Arts, and Comicave Studios.

WOW. Figuarts knocks another one out of the park. I'd much rather have this one, on the same scale as the rest of the Figuarts series. WOW.

For $285 dollars, the regular Iron Man armor should be able to fit inside.

That's way too expensive. Are they on drugs?

Yeah I don't get why they'd make such a popular suit/figure an exclusive. Any chance they'll be a "regular" release that maybe doesn't have the diecast?

Seems stupid not make a wide release.

Heh...Maybe if it was 1987.

285 is a bit extreme though, that's already beating out a lot of the MP Transformers out there, and that's really close to what I paid for my HT Robocop, which I am willing to bet had more diecast parts on him as well as electronics. I would have thought 150 to 179 tops....

I always say that you get what you pay for when it comes to import toys, but at 285, this toy better hunt down the bullies I had as a kid and beat them into submission.

yea, i'd even be comfortable with $150.... im curious as to what happens down the line, with the electronic features with a toy or something similar to this nature gets old?? last i recall with alot of things i had as a kid, those things tend to go bad.

im not knocking this what so ever, because i'd actually like one, im just curious is all.

I'm not justifing anything, but their hulk is 149. And this is bigger, has lights, vac metal paint, and a bit of diecast. Now, Hulk shouldn't be 149, he's about as big as Broly I think and he was 80ish. But in terms of the current Marvel SHF prices, and the extras, it's about on point.

I really want a nice Hulkbuster, and am considering this. Yes, this is 300. But Hot Toys is 800, and the Comicave one is going to be way more than that. Marvel Legends will cost you minimum 160, but you get 8 other figures with that. The ML one is nice, but not like this, it's a very nice tween-dult toy.

So, given all that, this might be good for me, have a higher end one without going full Hot Toys, work it into existing shelves, save 500 bucks. That's my reasoning anyway so far.

There's this thing called licensing fees, sometimes certain properties are more expensive and the cost is passed on to the consumer. This thing is also MASSIVE, and it's actually a hybrid Figuarts X Chogokin line plus a web-exclusive on top of that. The Chogokin line and the web exclusives are never cheap.

Just FYI, Tamashii Webshop Exclusives means this is it. If you want it pre-order now because they aren't making them again. Bandai never re-releases stuff like this. IT's also a hybrid Figuarts X Chogokin line, and the Chogokin line is pretty much defined by diecast content.

In my experience, if you remove the batteries during periods of extended storage, electronics tend to stay intact. I still have a couple of Toy Biz X-Men figures from the early nineties whose light-up eyes still work, twenty years later. If you consider that this is a much higher-end toy so they probably use better-quality parts and that hopefully toy electronics have advanced in the last twenty years, I'd say you probably don't have much to worry about if you take care of it.

Which Hulk are you referring to? The Avengers: Age of Ultron S.H. Figuarts Hulk was only $74.99 (about 9,000 yen) or so S.H.Figuarts The Avengers: Age of Ultron Hulk by Bandai | HobbyLink Japan

Well, most US retailers I saw when browsing around had it at 150. I guess that was the import and low run mark up price tho. I didn't really pay attention early on when it was solicited originally. Either way, I can't get him for 80 right now. That does make the 280 for Hulkbuster a bit more to swallow tho.

Just out of curiosity, where did you see those prices? That sounds like a higher-end scalper price. On BBTS, where they do have to import them and mark them up, they were originally just $90 (went up to $95 later)
The Avengers Age of Ultron S.H. Figuarts - Hulk - The Avengers 2: Age of Ultron (2015) Figures

Even on eBay right now, there are preorders for $124.99 or best offer with free shipping. I understand your trying to justify buying the Hulkbuster. It is a really cool looking figure, but I think everyone here who is complaining about the $285 price tag has a point. We can understand the reasons for the huge price increase (web exclusive, die cast metal parts, light-up electronics, large size), but even so, for someone who just wanted a Hulkbuster to display with their $75 Hulk, the 280% price increase over the cost of the Hulk really stings.

because it doesnt justify the price plus its a exclusive making it more expensive, sure you cant buy the HT hulk buster because they are different in terms of quality and size what we are saying is the "price" is on the hot toys level already thats way too much. if i have that kind of money ill spend it on a "random" hot toys that i like instead that makes it worth it.
