Like many older Star Wars fans I prefer the characters from the original trilogy over the prequels. It's been announced that next year Hasbro is planning to revisit the OT.

I already know we are getting a new Han and Luke in Stormtrooper outfits and I'm hoping for some more cantina aliens and a way over due new Admirial Ackbar.

Who are you hoping to see included?

I was actually hoping they'd do more prequel stuff. Mostly the clone wars. (not the Animated series, per-se) I've never found any clones that weren't from the cartoon.

I'm sure there will be more prequel stuff too, but it's nice that because of the amount if characters Hasbro is able to switch it up. Personally I'm tired of Clones and such.. Bring on the classics again. But that's just me.

I'm happy to see more OT characters coming back, hopefully to enjoy increased articulation and less emphasis on built-in gimmicks. Accessory gimmicks are fine, but when it screws with the fig's posability or basic functioning, it can be annoying.

As for clones, I'm really indifferent to them. Between them and the droids, they're basically the redeco fodder of the SW universe. So I'm fine with Hasbro making more, since it helps fund new molds and sculpts.

Actually, I wouldn't mind a super-articulated Stormtrooper. I'd buy a couple of those guys.

NEEDS MOAR OTC FIGS!!!

SRSLY though, I am a hardcore OTC fan and even though I do love the Prequels i need some better figures for Jedi Luke or General Lando.

You know, we never did get a GREAT Qui-Gon Jinn. I'd like that.

As for OTC - I'd like to see VOTC figures of Admiral Ackbar, Princess Leah Hoth, Jawa (with vinyl cape), Walrus Man (Ponda Baba), AT AT Driver, Luke Hoth, Hammer Head, Blue Snaggletooth, Yak Face, Luke Stormtrooper, Power Droid, Augnauts and Death Star Commander.

That would be really cool!

I would not be surprised if we saw new VOTC type figs next year. Hasbro said the line was only in hold so we will see!

Some of these should be cool. I'm least interested in the Emperor. How many versions can one have? On the fence on luke with Prosthetic Hand. I'd love to see pics. Any out there?

Captain Needa = Win! I hope he's ready to take the full blame.

Another great wave.

Did you miss the Jedi Evolutions 3-pack? There's a very good QGJ in there -- he has lots of articulation, a soft goods cloak, and is taller than most other SW figures, like he should be.

I was thinking the same thing. This makes me hope they put out an Ozzel and Piett in this line as well.

I could really use a new Piett. I marked out for him when he was released in POTF2. I still have him up on the wall.

Uh, clicking somewhat doesn't bring the bigger pic. But I'd love to see them in person anyways. I really need some of those if they are sculpted better. Here's hoping for Leia.

Along with many MOC Vintage figures... I have every SW figure made since '95 and multiples of them at that. For instance, I have about 20 of the first P Leia, Lando, Stormtrooper etc... I went "A LITTLE" overboard. Now, had those figures been done to today's standards they'd have been worth the investment. However, now that things have become so much better in detail & articulation these older figures are kinda blah...

So part of me wants only new prequel figs so my older stuff doesn't become less sought after. However, I'd really like to see them re-visit a few characters. Here's my list of figs that can be done so much better with improvements in articulation and no gimmicks.

Qui-Gon Jinn
Darth Maul
Jawa
Death Star Commander
Walrus Man (Ponda Baba)
Blue Snaggletooth (Carded)
Admiral Akbar
Gamorrean Guard
Origional Max Rebo Pack (Sy S., Max Reebo & Droopy McCool)
Garindan
Whuler
Ephont Mon
Jabba the Hutt (ROTJ Version)

I would also like to see a DEATH STAR PLAYSET much like the ones we had in 1978.

My thought would be that they could do it in modules that connect together. Like one module be the Trash Compactor, The Docking Bay, The retractable Bridge, Detention Block, Gunner Station, Command Room etc... It could be a pretty big playset if done right.

I'd like to see a really good ANH Tatooine Luke and ANH Leia. A new ROTJ Jabba the Hutt playset would be great as well.

Actually, I wouldn't mind a new ROTJ Jabba playset either. They could even spread it out among several releases with a specific scene in mind, but have the ability to interlock and form a larger set piece.
