If NECA would make 10 figures from any film / game / tv series. who would you like to see?

Mine would be:

1. Achilles (Troy, Brad Pitt)
2. John Preston (Equilibrium, Christian Bale)
3. Dutch (Predator, Arnold)
4. Rambo (Rambo 3, Sly)
5. Max Walker (Time Cop, Van Damme)
6. Vincent (Pulp Fiction, John Travolta)
7. Jules (Pulp Fiction, Samuel L. Jackson)
8. Tyler Durdan (Fight Club, Brad Pitt)
9. Vincent (Collateral, Tom Cruise)
10. Lara Croft (Tomb Raider, Angelina Jolie)

Im sure i could think of some better ones but this is off the top of my head!

I know they did make lara croft figures from those films but they wreent neca standard were they.

and for some strange reason tom cruise prohibits the toy companys from ever making a toy of him. what a weird guy.

  • Bayonetta- Bayonetta
  • Captain Scott Mitchell- Ghost Recon: Advanced Warfighter
  • Preston Marlowe- Battlefield: Bad Company series

Thats a good list! The Shepard DC direct made I think is really really good, although the head sculpt isnt really that on model, but the detail they put into the suit and gun is excellent i think.

mass effect 3 shepard from neca would be brilliant.

bayonetta would be cool too!

DC Direct is... okay, but I'd much prefer NECA take hold of figure production, especially after seeing what they did with Issac Clarke from Dead Space. None of the DCD figures are really on model, and the less said about Grunt the better. Plus they'd be easier to find and probably be less expensive for what you get than the DCD figures.

Besides, they could easily milk Mass Effect for all its worth with different colorations and a SDCC-exclusive FemShep... Oh god now they'll actually do that last one.

talisman you are right, they arent that on model. but i think shepards suit is really cool.

yeh necas are the authority on game figures. very strange that bioware didnt go with neca for these. well, they live and learn. they wont use them again.

its not too late for neca mass effect though, god of war had figs from dc direct and god of war. fingers crossed for mass effect 3!!!

hobbyist prime, baby is a good idea! not a bad film actually!

In a burst of irony a case of the DC Unlimited Mass Effect figures came in at my local Hastings. They were ugly in pictures... slightly less so in person. But I just... cannot... forgive Shepard's face. Weapons aren't quite right either; Grunt's Claymore shotgun is basically a big black brick (as opposed to a big silver-grey brick).

In any case it turns out DCU is also behind the Dragon Age figures, which... aren't terrible. But they are nowhere on the same level as their Warcraft figures/statues.

What would be your dream 10 from NECA??-neca_top10.jpg

Some of these have already been made, but I would like the see NECA's version. I love NECA and am really glad they've really picked up where McFarlane left off. They continue to happily surprise me with the properties they're able to get and produce figures for. There are many more figures I'd love the see made by them, but these are easily at the top of my list.

You know, after being disappointed with the recent Mortal Kombat figures, and seeing as how NECA does a killer job with their Player Select line, I would LOVE to see them take on MK. Specifically MK1, classic look, and MK2. That would be epic.

And while I'm making wishes, I'd like to see them take on some Nintendo properties. I would die for a NECA Samus Aran or a Link from Zelda. Maybe a Smash Bros. line with a super articulated Mario and Bowser. I can dream, can't I?

This thread needs some reviving. Some of our above wishes are coming true. NECA is releasing Dutch from Predator, Rambo and Carrie! Let's keep it going. Here's another top 10 list from me that I think NECA could really deliver on:

1) Lee (Enter the Dragon) - must be fully articulated, but NECA has been doing a great job with this lately. I think they can push it even farther with Bruce.
2) Deckard (Blade Runner)
3) Maximus (Gladiator)
4) Mama Fratelli (The Goonies) - Mezco already made a great set of the kids and Sloth, but we need this mean ol' bitch to go along with them.
5) Nada (They Live)
6) Dr. Herbert West (Re-Animator)
7) LeeLoo (The Fifth Element) - preferably in her white striped outfit.
8) Travis Bickle (Taxi Driver)
9) Leon (The Professional)
10) Kane (Poltergeist II: The Other Side)

Just couldn't help myself; there's just too many figures I want! Here's another list based on creatures/monsters/killers:

1) Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth)
2) Pale Man (Pan's Labyrinth)
3) Leprechaun (Leprechaun)
4) Alien man (They Live)
5) Crites (Critters)
6) Decker (Nightbreed) - I would love to see a full blown line with all the characters from this movie, but if I could only get one it would be this guy.
7) Funhouse freak (The Funhouse)
8) House hag (House)
9) Torok (Troll)
10) Madman Marz (Madman)
Multi-pack) Ghoulies 4-pack (Ghoulies)

I don't believe this ever came out as it's about 6-7 years old & I've never seen one. But it's pretty sweet!

Don't know about 10 figures but I would definitely want a nice Blanka from Street Fighter and Johnny 5 from Short Circuit and Falcor from Never Ending Story.

These would have to be highly poseable action figures. I'm not interested in statues, or semi-statues like those 6" Terminator figures that came out recently. I want full articulation.

1. Halo Reach style Master Chief (I know McFarlane has the license, but I'm ignoring that fact here)
2. Live-action Reptile from the first Mortal Kombat movie
3. Live-action Scorpion " "
4. Live-action Sub-Zero " "
5. Alan Grant from Jurassic Park 1
6. Tyrannosaurus Rex scaled to fit Alan Grant (that would be a massive toy, probably $200 - $300)
7. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers the Movie White Ranger
8. I'm having a hard time coming up with more figures I want, so I'll augment the Jurassic Park line and say a Velociraptor scaled to fit Alan Grant.
9. Batman Returns - Batman
10. I don't know...

1.) Claire Redfield (Resident Evil 2/Darkside Chronicles redesign)
2.) Daryl Dixon (Walking Dead)
3.) BSAA Jill Valentine (Resident Evil 5)
4. Albert Wesker (S.T.A.R.S. version/RE5 Midnight version)
5.) Mechanic Baird (Gears of War 3 alternate costume)
6.) Jackie Estacado w/ removable Darkness Tendrils (The Darkness)
7.) Ada Wong (Resident Evil 6)
8.) Alan Wake
9.) Hawk (Dragon Age II)
10.) Frank West (Dead Rising)

In a perfect world, NECA wouldn't waste their Resident Evil license by releasing characters like Vector while refusing to give us Claire or Wesker.

I also wish they would have been able to give us Dragon Age and, hell, even Mass Effect figures instead of the mediocre ones by DC Unlimited. Although due to NECA's odd decisions we probably would have been lucky to get a Shepard, let alone the rest of the characters DCU managed. So... eh, I'll take what I can get.

i would add the chick in return of the living dead
vampire from fright night or the movie vamp
werewolf 2-pack from howling featuring the white girl wolf and any male wolf
honestly they're just to many great characters...

Only one comes to mind.

Sam Fisher Spinter Cell.

Not the one with the sweater. One with all his accessories and black ops load out.

I believe these were part of the Now Showing figures that SOTA made. They were to be in the next wave before the line (and company) died. They were doing Re-Animater , Leprechaun ( you can see his back and his wishing well basepiece in the pic) McReady from The Thing with the dog monster in the kennel as a box set, and they had a Burt Gummer from Tremors with a graboid coming out of the ground. They all had prototypes shown but never made it any further.

Damn shame! Those all need to be made! Especially the McReady & dog kennel!
