Just thought I'd start a tread to show case all of my customs. I've been busting out a lot lately and I've got plans or many more so I might as well show them off. I showed some of these off in the MU appreciation thread so you may have already seen them.

Here's Forge!
Strange that I didn't notice how wonky his x symbol is on his belt til after looking at the pics. I'll have to touch that up later. And an updated 90's X-men team pic. |

Great job on that X-Men team! The best I've seen anywhere!
Now you just need Bishop! And then you need to make the New Mutants, X-Force, X-Factor and X-Terminators, New X-Men, Diet X-Men, Classic X-Men, and of course, Caffiene-Free X-Men. I THROW DOWN A CHALLENGE:Make the Marauders! |

Lol. Bishop, Cable (in more 90's accurate attire than how he was released), and Jubilee (as soon as she hits shelves I'll get started on her) are on my short list.
And lol! Yeah. I've made up a list of all the 90's x-related characters I want to make. There are a freak-ton! Excaliber, x-force, x-factor. There are many out there I want to tackle. The marauders I hadn't considered. I'll have to look in to them! And thanks for the compliment! Last edited by kamendreda; 07-27-2012 at 09:26 PM.. |

Here are a couple of older customs. I sold off Wonder Woman as soon as I saw She-Hulk. I knew she'd make the perfect WW. I'll get around to making her again someday.

So I sat down this weekend to get a good start on a Bishop custom... This happened instead. LOL Not sure if I'm going to keep the hair the like this or not. Had this hair piece sitting in my parts bin for a few years seemed appropriate for Janet but now that its on and done I just don't think I like it... What do you think?
Wanted to keep her wings articulated Finally... ALL the original Avengers... Can't wait for Antman to make it a little more accurate! |

A pack of plastic bugs I picked up at some crappy dollar store. I saw them and was like "OMG! Perfect Wasp wings!" They are very rubbery though. I wish they were a tad more on the plastic-y side. but when you giggle the figure up and down really fast it makes for a really cool wing flapping effect... LOL

Rachel looks awesome. You should paint a little black on nightcrawler's lower torso, improves him like 100%

Those three are awesome! Whose heads did you use for viper and Rachel? And where/how did you get/make the spikes for Rachel?

Kam - If you don't mind me asking, what airbrush set and paints do you typically use. I started to research kits last night and the prices vary wildly! I saw some "starter" kits for $20 and some pro kits with compressors for over $100. Thoughts?

I got it as a gift for christmas so I don't know exactly how much it cost. I know it came from a local hardware store. The gun it came with was complete crap so I bought this one... It was $60 At Hobby Lobby. Its a bitch to clean and its pretty fragile. Ive had to replace the tiny nozzle on the front three times already. Now I've figured out to be very gentle with it and I think I can avoid damaging it again. This is the brand of paint Ive been using. Also sold at Hobby Lobby for about $4 a bottle. And a tip that will save you a good bit of money that I found out. Don't waste your money on buying the airbrush cleaner that's like $5 for a tiny little bottle. Windex is the same thing as the cleaner. Go buy a gallon of the walmart great Value brand Glass cleaner. It'll save you a ton! |
