I happened to go to TRU in the Dadeland area of Miami, Fl when I noticed that there are new IM figures..."Hmmmm, interesting" I said, but my jaw dropped to the ground and I felt dismayed at what I saw for $10.99!!! I was beyond disbelief thinking that we [toyark] all payed $12.00+ bucks for this very same figure when it was said that it was not only a Wally exclusive but a LIMITED run too! WHAT GIVES?!? Now I'm left to think that, if there are 12" figures of both Thor & Capt. why go nuts looking for the so called "Limited and/or Exclusive" runs when a year down the @$^*ing road we'll see these figures being reissued again for a few bucks less!!!

Epic fail on HASBRO's part

Really!? I have only found these things at TRU and they cost like 18 bucks. Good thing I didn't buy any.

EDIT: WTF!? WHY ARE THEY 18 BUCKS OVER HERE AT TRU AND ONLY 11 OVER THERE!?

Robbed? Shoot I'm one of the @ssholes who dropped $80 apiece on the Vision/Warpath/Daredevil/ Ms. Marvel wave a month ago. Target can't give those suckers away now.

Wish my Targets would get that wave in. All they have are a few Spiderman and Ironman figs on the pegs which have been there since Christmas.

Hasbro has actually raised prices to the distributors, so you're going to see the price go up.

I posted a longer explanation of this here:

Exactly! Why are the prices different in different areas? They should at least have some sort of consistency and not a big difference between them.

Edit: Now that I think about it, did you scan that sucker? Because some TRUs still have the 2008 Iron Man 6 inchers.

Just because it's the same company doesn't necessarily mean that the price will always be the same.

Some companies are franchised out and therefore follow their own pricing models, while other chains base their pricing on the region in which they operate. A great example is how clearance sales are done at TRU.

I can almost bet you money that the things you'll see clearanced at your local TRU are not all clearanced at my TRU, while mine will have things on clearance that yours won't.

Of course, this particular issue could simply be a staff error with the shelf label. My suggestion would be to scan it before assuming the worst.

I live in canada, and where I'm at we have Zellers which is the Canadian equivalent of Target.. soon they'll be converted as Target bought out the remaining Zeller's stores.. I did see them last week for $16-17.99 something like that.. If I had the $$ I would of picked up Titanium Man in a heard beat... hopefully he's kicking around when payday roles around.. I was lucky enough to pick up "the walmart exclusives" war machine and Iron man mark iv? i think or vi can never keep them straight.. as well as the suitcase armour.. about 2 weeks ago when I was last at my local walmart they still had a full 2 pegs worth or suitcase armor. I have yet to find the Iron man with Tony stark headsculpt with glasses!

Well, found them yesterday and I can confirm they are scanning at $17.99 each, which was why it was only with mild discomfort that I put back the Hulkbuster I found.

Hopefully, I'll find it at a more reasonable price later.

As far as I know, TRU does not franchise and remains corporately-owned. But franchises are certainly one reason why prices fluctuate between supposedly identical stores within a chain.

But even with corporate-owned chains like Walmart, prices and selection vary from region to region, sometimes even within the same city.

no, I didn't scan him, dang it :c And yes, I have witnessed many times over at the Trgt in Dadeland and Midtown aka Wynwood that they would cary most of the same things but at the same time they carry other items as wells, and prices do vary from store to store.

For $10.99, I'd be willing to bet he was hung on the wrong peg. They scan at $18.99 at my local TRU in Orlando.

Waves 1 and 2 are each available at BBTS for $54.99, which is $13.75 each. That's the route I'm going with these.
