Anyone else enjoy this as much as I did? I thought it was a great reboot to the classic. And who doesn't love Chalk as Duncan? It's a shame it was short lived but it was great while it lasted.

I dug it personally. Had the whole corresponding line of toys too. Not sure what triggered it going offline, I guess the kids weren't into it.

Maybe now that several of the brands properties have been relaunched into new universes, other than Transformers, a reboot could work and be accepted. Who knows tho, not sure what the bar is for these kinds of shows.

I absolutely loved the 2002 show. To me, it was a perfect reboot. (Although, Thundercats looks to be taking that title soon here...) I still watch it pretty regularly thanks to the DVDs. I really love how it captured the feel of the original, while telling new stories, as well as old stories in new ways. It really made the entire concept feel fresh, yet familiar.

I just don't think the timing was right. Kids weren't ready for a swords ans sandals line. Distribution was a major problem too. But the show was great. Had it come out after 300 (which kicked off the modern swords and sandals revolution), people may have responded better to it.

I agree. Between that and the bad case assortments, it never stood a chance at that time. I'd love to see them give it another shot and just hope a new revamp is as good.

It was a GREAT reboot. Perfect in the way it upgrade the original and made it better without dumbing it down and making it silly. I never liked Chalk as "Prime". He was awesome as Duncan though. Now I kind of see him as a great Ultra Magnus.

Too bad that show was ended too soon. As for reboots, Thundercats is looking pretty cool. Voltron...not so much.

That cartoon is what every production company should look at when attempting to breath life into an already existing property. It had everything you wanted and expected from MOTU with a modern spin on it. These cartoons will hold up the test of time and always be good to watch. The last few episodes with the Power Of Greyskull are great origin stories of Eturnia before the Great Wars.

The Thundercats show is done along these lines and is shapping up to be a great series That everyone will want to have. Kids are getting into it. I watched the season premear at my Boss's house with her small children. They loved it. I got him a Thundercats poster and he nearly exploded with excitement. Now I wonder how my boss feels about lil daggers and claws. I want to get these so bad but I have no kids of my own.

I've just started watching the 2002 cartoon, and I like what I've seen so far, I'm all the way to the episode that zodac goes into snake mountain because of the escaped Snake Man, Awesome show, I can't wait to finish the episodes.
