Marvel Universe Comic Packs Wave 1 For 2012 - Marvel - MarvelousNews.com

I would rather have had a Wendigo. That set will warm pegs all next year!

Not what I was hoping for. Is that the same 1st appearance wolvie.. same colossus.. same Silver centurian we already have? Is the Mandarin a repaint of the IM line?

Hmmph.. I understand we get the new Hulk and new Juggy... would have liked more "new" and less old.

Pros
- Another Chance for New Mold Hulk
- Red Mandarin(He's worn those colors before, look at the varient for the ML 2packs before hasbro)
- the two pack ideas work

Cons
- Reprints of guys we just got.
- too soon on the 1st appearance wolverine

considering we are getting the same hulk in 2012 wave 2, I'll be passing these. the only one thats really worth it is Mandarin/Ironman only for the people who missed out on a mandarin

I really hope that Juggernaut has his helmet too. I fear he doesn't though.

Wow, Wendigo would have been awesome! But I think they're banking on the fact that the pack has a Hulk and a Wolverine in it, both relatively big sellers.

I'm pretty sure it's the IM2 Silver Centurian and Mandarin, which is interesting. It's not the MU Centurian for sure. Has anyone else been noticing that they're trying to put out more of the figures that are generally hard to find? With revision packs that include Guardian, Bullseye, and Cable, and now a Mandarin 2-Pack, it's just screaming that they're recognizing which figures are sought-after and producing more of them. Keep an eye out for a Blade and a Vision in the future...

WOW. That means there's a bunch of comic packs hitting at the same time in the next 30 days...

It's a shame they're re-using the old inaccurate Centurion armor instead of remolding the rest of it. I don't need a red Mandarin, so that's an easy pass.

Crap, all these packs are terribly disappointing.

But I may pickup the hulk 181 pack just to keep it MOC. I totally love that comic cover.

This becomes a problem. Stores won't get more stock unless current stock moves. I know in my area, these comic packs WILL NOT. Also, Hasbro steals ideas. If anyone remembers, way back I called that Hasbro should do a comic with first appearance Wolverine and Hulk...look what we are getting...

This is where I'm glad I don't collect MU figs. Gotta agree on how horrendous those colors on Mandarin are.

Well, there's the mandarin mold resuse I was expecting.

Glad I still need to pick up wonderman/quicksilver and DD/Bullseye because these sets are instant passes for me.

This does make me wonder what else we'll see in 2012 comic packs though. I'm half expecting a darkhawk/razor/talon one and maybe a gen X jubilee(red suit, yellow jacket) and whoever they can repaint to go with it. These will probably move more to kids, and with the new wolvie movie filming soon, I expect we may see more of him in CPs later.

Though with the inclusion of movie line figures from the past, they may even pull out the stops and do astonishing cyclops and emma frost. Who knows.

You know, sad thing is, I'd probably get the Hulk/Wolverine pack just to make a sweet diorama out of it.

I'd buy that. The Astonishing Cyclops is still in demand. If they cleaned up the paint on it, it'd be even better!

Colossus and Juggernaut are two relatively hard to find figures to begin with, so I'd guess that this pack will be a hit.
