2012 Subs Reopening 9/16-10/3, Plus New MOTU 30th Anniversary Subscription.
MattyCollector.com Online Store

MOTUC Club Eternia®
Club Eternia is going to be better than ever for 2012! Purchase a membership to Club Eternia for $20 and you’re guaranteed to receive all of the monthly Masters of the Universe® Classics figures released during the year. You’ll also receive club-exclusive Shadow Weaver (our first-ever Filmation character!) and an all-new bonus map poster of Preternia. Figures revealed to date are Sorceress® (January), Fisto™ (February) and Kobra Kahn™ (March). The multipack revealed to date is Princess of Power® Star Sisters™ (Starla™, Jewelstar™ and Tallstar™) that also includes Glory Bird.

Since we launched the MOTUC line in 2008, while costs have risen we've worked hard to hold prices for 6" figures at $20 each. For 2012, prices for figures purchased through the subscription will remain as previously advertised ($20 for 6" figures, $30-$60 each for beasts/variants/multi-packs). We're finalizing the numbers now, but figures and other items sold outside the subscription during our monthly sales at MattyCollector.com will definitely be higher. If you don't already have a subscription, you'll want to get one when they're re-opened on September 16th to lock in the 2008 pricing!

MOTU 30th Anniversary Series
By fan demand, we're offering a subscription to the six very special figures we'll be releasing approximately every other month in 2012 in celebration of MOTU's 30th anniversary! Each figure will be a new character created just for the MOTUC line, including Fearless Photog (the winner of the 1985 Create a Figure Contest by Nathan Bitner) and Draego Man by the Four Horsemen. Of the remaining figures, two will be from Mattel, one from Geoff Johns (famed creative director from DC Comics), and the final figure is planned to be the winner of the current Create a Character Contest.

Because this series was created as part of the year-long anniversary celebration, we've been given permission from management to also offer these figures to subscribers for the 2008 price of $20 each (plus shipping/taxes/fees), but the price will be higher for figures sold outside the subscription at MattyCollector.com during our monthly sales (pricing to be announced). If you love MOTU, it's the best way to ensure you'll receive every one of the MOTU 30th Anniversary Series special releases at the lower price. You can get this subscription whether you have a subscription to Club Eternia or not, but purchasing both ensures you'll receive every MOTUC figure released in 2012, plus you'll save on shipping!

I'm gladd they are offering the 30th line as a sub to be shipped with the reg Sub. Not excited to hear that the day of sale prices are goin up. What are your thoughts?

No one cares that the day of sale prices are going up? That and the extra 9 bucks to ship a single fig means that I will not be picking up any extra figs to keep MOC.

I'm glad I subbed for 2012 now. This line is already expensive enough, but now the prices are raising? Damn. I wonder how much each figures will be now. And yeah, it seems as if they're really forcing people to sign up for the subs. But on the good side, there's finally more incentive to sub.

Annnnd this is where I finally stop collecting the line. Almost. The only ones I would pay more than $20 for are the Sorceress and a Horde Trooper.

Yes more incentive but at what cost? Casual fans "cherry pickers", fans who pick up extras, and online stores that do not get subs will be turned off and they will just use that to say that there is not enough interest in the line. At first evertything will prob sell out in minutes but a few months into next year I bet people will be tired of paying the extra doe. The sub this year was only like $40 over last years sub but it's still too much now add $120 on top of that for the 30th line of figs that are extremely obscure.

Matty needs to downgrade and bring us back to one fig a month with bonus figs every other month and just finish up the classic characters we all want before the ship sinks and the line dies.

I don't want many more She ra figs or Filmation characters. if they can offer us a 6 figure sub then they can take all the non Masters figs out and offer them seperately.
They are alienating there target audience by throwing in non MOTU figs in the mix and now by raising the non sub price. Scare tactics and hogwash.

Just wanted to know. Subs don't have some kind of "sell out" point or threshold do they? I wanna sign up for the 30th Anniversary sub, but I can't until the week before 10/3. So would I be safe to hold out 'til then??

I still plan on cherry-picking for the main MOTUC sub. So far from what's revealed, I just need Kobra Khan & Sorceress. Is Demo-Man part of this one? I saw his reveal photo before. Anybody have a list?

The only cutoff for subs is the date. You can literally sign up right up until the final day, so you're good there. Demo-Man is actually coming out this year, 2011. I think he's either the Nov or Dec figure.

What's been announced so far for MOUTUC 2012 is Sorceress, Fisto, Kobra Khan, Thunder Punch He-Man, Shadow Weaver and the Star Sisters 3-Pack.

Oh, awesome! Thanks! I'm new to all this subscription stuff - just signed up for DCUC so far.

Do we know the Oct. figures for this year yet??

I don't even know some of these guys, but just looking at them makes me want'em.

Icarus & Snout Spout look neat and Battleground Evil-Lyn & Demo-Man are must-haves for me.

Thanks again ludo, didn't know they had these checklist/schedule things.

Sucks they're raising prices for cherry pickers, but to be honest; I'm not sure why they didn't do that sooner. I never felt there was very much incentive to get a sub unless you're a completionist.

The only thing left I need from their 2011 lineup is Snout Spout. I'll probably end up getting Demo-Man too, but Snout Spout is my only remaining must have for this year.

So you're game for Snout Spout but no dice for Spin Blade Hordak or Leech? I had Snout Spout and read up on his UK bio but I think there are dozens of older masters figs that deserve to be made before him and New Adventures characters.

I just wish there was news on making Mekaneck and Ram-man ( he should be a little bigger) it would be nice to get them to build up the master team .

Actually, Ram Man is wider but he's supposed to be shorter than the other characters. His spring legs allowed him to get taller.

Yeah, me too. I'd love to see how they handle those characters. Those are the last two main characters from the good guys, right? I don't really remember anyone else.
