I'm all for retro toys, but somehow this entire series continues to be a snoozefest.

Honestly, I'd love to pickup these retro 3.75 figures fir my kids (and some for me too), but they're nust too expensive. $8-10 seems like a good price point for these. $18-23, not so much.

Excellent live stream. Lots of clear, detailed shots of the 3D renders that were put up for pre-order a few days ago. We really got to see the figures right down to the 3D sculpted pores.

Let’s say it again
Let’s say it in the hopes that people who work in the toy industry will read it and it will FINALLY sink in.
No one cares about the 5 points of articulation “retro” figures.
I have seen this and variations of this clog toy aisles for the past decade
If you are a toy company and you are reading this find a better way to be cheap and/or cost effective.

If only they would have given us figures with articulation...
Most of us didn't want 5 POA ...we wanted more articulation.
How could they do this in 2022 ....????
This is really messed up...
Easy to pass these up... until we get more articulation..!!

I wish the 90's toy aesthetics were back in style, you could still use the 5 poa layout but there'd at least be detailed sculpts and interesting poses!

Wrong, Star Wars fans fall for this crap.
Especially the crappy retro sculpts

Honestly for Star Wars though i'd accept good sculpt 3.75 5POA figures to return because there is so much media now and such small amounts of figures.
Id buy them for backgrounders or custom parts.

The retro figs are an easy pass for me. I love the 4-inch size and I've nothing against a retro look (on packaging for example like they did with Marvel Legends), but these are just lazy and easy cash grabbing from Hasbro. We had an excellent 4-inch size Marvel line called Marvel Universe (although they changed the name a couple of times down the line). Now we get less articulated figures for a higher price? No, thanks...

Star Wars 5POA was awesome because even if you didn't collect 5POA Hasbro still made vehicles for them. And yah... some of the vehicles were undersized, but that is still better than nothing.

IMO The Marvel 5POA would have been awesome if they were at least 9POA or had the same articulation as the DC Spinmaster figs because the sculpts are good and the paint apps are nice and brightly colored and all the outfits are classic designs.

maybe someone can help clear up my confusion: the wave 5 that were just put up for preorder on EE (phoenix, wolverine, venom, falcon, reed richards) -they have not been put up for preorder anywhere else, including at hasbropulse. Now we are getting four more teased (thor, green goblin, etc). I have seen no articles talking about wave 5 or mentions that preorders are coming at other locations. Basically i don't want to order from EE but will if they won't become available elsewhere.

The retro line with Thor, The Thing, ... and all of the others would have been so great with just 10 more points of Articulation.
I'll pick up Thor & The Thing... but I won't be happy about it.
I would have picked up everything from this line... if it had better articulation.

I hate be a downer but these retro figs aren't worth my money, i can save a bit more to buy something that's worthwhile. Plus it seems that these figs aren't that popular anyway - i've been to a couple of toy stores in 4 weeks where i'm from and the stock for these are barely moving at all. But for those who want these, good for them.
