UPDATE 12/31/08: Swapped out his arms for a set from Cobra Flint. (Which was suggested to me, it looks fantastic! They fit him much better and do not look too big like the ones I had on him from Bazooka __________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ ____ This is my first 'Joe custom figure, I have done a vehicle, but this was the first time I have taken apart a figure. The biggest challenge was cracking open the torso, I practiced on a few figs I didn't care for before I did this This is a WIP no longer. He is done! I had never done it, and I'm not thrilled with how the camo pattern came out. That said, overall I am very pleased. The recipe is as follows: Copperhead torso/chest/upper arms Cobra/Tiger Force Flint forearms Serpentor thighs Duke lower legs/boots Dark 5cythe Sarge Combo kit - 2 heads (older and younger Sarge) Hat, glasses, baton and whistle I used Model Master Acrylic paints On to the pics: New pic:

It's because he knows who's next Nice work, man. I can see what you mean by the camo on Sarge, though. Looks a little more like stripes. My suggestion would be to try using some brown and some black to help break it up a bit more. Still quite impressive, and I look forward to seeing it when you finish it.

				 | Quote: And it might be a good idea to practice on the junkers I now have laying around. If I end up not liking it still, I will just leave his legs in the olive drab color like in the first pic, which isn't too bad, I just want to have the camo pattern look better, 'cause I want him to look as he did in the show, with the camo pants Quote:

Nice work! It's true, some people are naturally good at customs, other's like myself would only make Frank-N-Stein looking figures. The first picture looks like a scene from a scary movie. - Joke I wish Hasbro would make a Sgt. Slaughter/Fridge comic 2-pack!

I thought Sgt. Slaughter owned the rights to his "character", like Hulk Hogan and WARRIOR (no seriously, that's the legal spelling with caps)? Maybe a 3-pack with Fridge, Slaughter and that Steel Brigade(?) mail-away figure? The one you could customize with your own card file?

Oh, I agree. It's not like the license is being used for anything else, other than a classic series release a few years ago. Hmm. New thread idea sense tingling...

Updated 11-25-08: New in progress pictures:I recieved the heads and hat today. I think I got the wrong order because I ordered a brown hat (Got green) baton and whistle (did not get them either) I emailed him and hopefully it works out. But for now you get the idea. I am letting the green on the legs dry, I got some brown to redo the camo on his legs, and lighten up the neck, the fleshtone I used was dark, need to mix up a lighter color and fix that. Almost there enjoy:

Updated 11-27-08: I did some camo pattern on him again, came out a little better, I still want to touch it up and make it look more natural, but here is a couple new pics: Throwing around some BATs:

Nice job on the camo, he looks great. I really like the pic of him playing toss with the BATs. Awesome job, OS. Any more ideas on the horizon? Oh and I found out that WWE still owns the rights to the Slaughter character, so it's up to the WWE and Jakks currently (to be replaced by Mattel in 2010).

I think the sculpt looks good. The camo looks better than it has. I'd just make sure and clean up the joints. Other than that it looks like a great figure.
