I absolutely love Kim Dickens, but who is the audience for this figure? I can't imagine any of the FTWD characters are popular enough to warrant a line.

One top of the fact that these are in a completely different scale than previous TWD figures and nearly all of the articulation has been removed.

I have to wonder about the financial status of McFarlane toys as of late, because the have completely phoned it in as of late. The Halo line is whimpering on it's way towards Mattel, the TWD line is switching scales and losing their articulation, and even their sports figures have been on the cheap as of late, with them subbing original sculpts for repaints.

McFarlane stuff just doesn't sell in my area. My TRU gets the new stuff but then skips over a wave or two because the last stuff still hasn't sold. My Wal-Mart gets it too and pretty much does the same thing but they just dump the older stuff into clearance or send it to whoknowswhere but it clearly isn't selling very well. I think Walgreens actually does the best in my area but all they get are the Walking Dead figures from what I've seen. McFarlane used to be the top dog of American adult collectibles at an affordable price range but now they just come off like a shadow of their old self. I'm game for their Gears of War figures/statues if those turn out well but the switching of scales with TWD is annoying and I don't even get those.

Agreed and as someone who is missing very few of the 5" line this new scale makes no sense. Glad I collect "Action" figures and not articulated statues. I will pass on everything under the "Red Line" brand, I just don't understand why they would can the original scale when they were finally getting the level of detail right and had changed the articulation for the better....so frustrating, but one less thing to have to track down.

McFarlane doesn't really sell anywhere. Their figures are choking pegs everywhere I go. Meanwhile, NECA stuff flies off the pegs and is consistently re-stocked.

It's been probably a decade since they were top dog...I give McFarlane all the credit in the world, as we probably wouldn't have the current adult collectible market that we all enjoy today without them. Todd was truly a pioneer in that respect, but sadly, as in any business, it's evolve or die, and McFarlane has not only NOT done that, but they've actually regressed in many ways.

Personally, I think McFarlane's days are numbered. After all, Walking Dead is a popular TV franchise, but it's not the type of property to sustain a toy company. In addition to lowered paint/build quality on their figures overall, they lost Halo, no one buys their sports stuff, there's zero interest in their building block sets. They have nothing, sadly.
