Well I walk into a BRAND new Wal-Mart. Literally, today was the grand opening. I walk in thinking man this might be a great chance to score the latest wave. Walk into the toy aisle and..... Nothing. No MU at all. But they are loaded up with Iron Man 2 Wave 1 Thor and Cap....WTH. Why would you open up a brand new store and stock up on figures other stores have been having clearance on just to get rid of. That sadden my day. So I go to two other stores on my route to work. And guess what. They stop carry MU completely. So now that makes a total of 5 stores on my list that stopped carrying them. I asked someone there just to see what he said. He told me "I'm not sure, but if we stopped carrying it it's because we don't sell it that well" As he is saying that I am just looking at the endless waves of Thor and cap toys lol. I don't know how your other guys stores are, but it seems here in Houston, Target is the place to be! And yes I know The latest waves was spotted at Wal-Mart.

Yes! Let the Walmart rants and threads begin! Nothing against you doboy but ive seen this thread and so many posts against walmart on hisstank and other forums.
IMO, if you have that much hate towards a company than stop shopping there, just pre-order or pay a few more bucks and buy everything your interested in online.

That sucks dude. I just went on a lil rant about employees not even helping out but lack of product is inexcuseable. I have 2 Walmarts on my drive that are piontless to stop at. I used to find Joes back when the DVD packs were out but since then it's all TF,SW and Bakugan. Been hitting up Benny's lately to find new stuff. Some of my friends have given up alltogether on finding product in the wild.
We know hasbro is aware of distribution problems but they sell sell sell the hell out of wave 1 to a store then when no one wants the same 12 Thor figs so the store stops ordering them. Hasbro needs to buy back the year old product that is crammign the shelves or discount it to a lesser store.

Wal-Mart is where I got the bulk of my collection. It just saddens me to see they rather stock up on a 2-3 year old toy line because they think It might sell better then the other. I mean come on. Who is the sales marketing guy behind that decision. I could have at least came across wave 2 or 3 of Thor. |

Well that is actually good to know. Because I have crossed off 5 Wal-Marts off the list. Might have to check back on them soon then. It's been about 2 months since I stopped going there.

I really don't like Wal-Mart but when on the hunt one must be open to looking anywhere that item could be. Wal-Mart has always been good about getting most of these guys in sooner or later but I have to say that it just keeps getting worse. I really don't even go anymore. There's a Toys R Us and Target near me so I look there once a week or so.

So I have to say its not really a walmart reason as to why it sucks. Its a management reason. My response to this to bitch to them or move on. Your bitching can acheive good or bad, or you can move on to a better one. Personally I want to take over the entire ghetto mart and just restore it to its former glory

Dude I have 3 Walmarts in town and NONE of them carry Joes, MU or TCats! ... Every now and then ill find a stray case of figures of one line or another that one of the stores got on a pallet and are just flexed in to a random aisle ... which in turn is usually good for me because i am very meticulous when it comes to searching the aisles lol

Well I'm hoping they care enough not to have an entire row of Iron Man 2 toys just sit there for another say ohhhhh 2 years......

One of my targets is like that right now. But it is all revision waves. Which is why I am worried that I might not see the new waves for some time.

Someone should tell these fruit cakes that if they only stock one case of MU every quarter then that's all they're going to sell.

none of my toysrus' have ever heard of restocking. heads are all up their asses. "Well sir, we are a smaller store and can only afford one single peg full of Team X Wolverines. We are waiting for inventory to clear before we order more." Arrghhhhh, you have space right underneath! WTF!

Same thing happened to me a few years back, a brand new Wally World opened right by my father - in - law's, went there on grand opening day and the selection in their toy aisles resembled something out of Big Lots. That was right around the time DCUC wave # 10 came out so that's what I was on the hunt for. All they had were a few DCIH peg warmers and a peg full of DCUC Captain Cold, I swear I think Mattel was shipping cases of just that 1 figure. Since then it never got better as far as selection either.
I think it genuinely depends on which area the store is located. What's going on with DCUC at Wal - Mart all 5 stores in my area carried a good stock of them and within the last month, all DCUC seemed to dry up and what left is on clearance.

I have at best 5 walmarts. one of which I know does not carry marvel universe. might I also add that walmart is also in the ghetto, closes at midnight, and deals with crime. so I avoid ghettomart. Theres 2 that are a little ways out, one of which is good for a MU fix. not sure about the other. But theres 2 Walmarts close to where I work and home and those places are MU City. I've picked up all my gigantic battles from them, and they are good with the new stuff. great walmarts.
So I have to say its not really a walmart reason as to why it sucks. Its a management reason. My response to this to bitch to them or move on. That use to be the complete opposite of me here. Target use to never carry anything good. And Wal-Mart had everything new and up to date. Seems like they have switched places for me now.
