Why doesn't McFarlane sell DC Multiverse stands as a separate pack?

I use them for my NECA and G.I. Joe Classified Series figures. The NECA 10 pack stands I see at Target stores are way too big in my opinion. McFarlane's stands are much smaller and better suited especially when trying to fit a lot of figures on a display shelf.

McFarlane already sells a weapon pack so why not sell a stands pack? Say 10 stands in a pack for $9.99? I'm sure I'm not the only one wanting them.

Probably because they're minding their own yard more than anyone else's. What I mean is, every McFarlane figure already comes with a base so they've already covered all the ground they really need to. They didn't make the munitions pack hoping that collectors would buy it to arm their NECA or DST figures they made it so collectors could arm McFarlane figures which were denied those accessories by WB, they're patching their own holes up. I'm not saying a base pack would be totally unwelcome, but I am saying there's not a strong reason they'd be pushed to actually do it.

What luck. Today, I found "Pop! 10 Piece POP! Bases by Funko" at my local Walmart store. It comes with 8 standards and 2 'Universal' bases for a total of 10. But really, you only get 8 bases with a peg. The other 2 'Universal' bases are peg-less (useless in my case).

I don't collect Funko POPs so I don't know what these blank 'Universal' bases are for. Anyway, for $4.98, I bought a pack of 10.

To my surprise, the bases with the peg fits McFarlane DC Multiverse figures, Witcher 3 figures, and G.I. Joe Classified Series figures. They even take up less space than the McFarlane bases.

I plan to buy more the next time I'm at a Walmart store.

I'll have to keep an eye out. I need stands for my Classified figures. Those loose, rubbery joints are a royal pain in me arse.

Yeah, one of my Lady Jayes has bad hip joints. It's permanently in the extended state. The legs are supposed to extend down to allow for better movement but in my case they're permanently extended.

I switched out the McFarlane base with the smaller Funko base for her. I did the same for 7 other figures. I'm surprised at how much room that freed up by just switching out to a smaller base.

I picked up a 2nd Lady Jaye from a GameStop clearance a few weeks ago. The hip joints aren't great but they're better than the first Lady Jaye I got from Walmart. It seems a lot of these Lady Jays have this defect.

The Walmart I went to today didn't have the Funko bases. Here's hoping the one I go to tomorrow has them.

I had no luck finding the Funko bases at the two Walmarts I visited today.

However, I found the NECA TMNT II Secret Of The Ooze 2 Pack turtles at the 2nd Walmart. They had all four turtles in separate 2 packs (Leo & Raph, Mike & Don). $59 for each 2 packs. I picked up both 2 packs.

It was a good day after all!

I plan to check out another Walmart tomorrow that's a bit far from where I live. Here's hoping it'll have the Funko bases.
