Love it! I wish NECA would settle on a standard for their figures though: clear plastic skin or painted. I get it on guys like Rocky and Apollo, but Ripley looks weird standing next to Brett and Bishop with painted skin (I know she gets sweaty during the movie but it still looks odd to me, plus I've never found a Ripley with great face paint)

This may end up with translucent skin in the end. The photo is of the 2-up hand painted prototype.

Holy crap- Here's one I never thought we would see. Love it. This is a must buy, Brett was always my favorite Nostromo crew member so this is just awesome news.
Right...

WOW. Both Brett AND Parker are on the way??? Holy shit, I am there!

That said, announcements like this just continue to piss me off. We can get a figure of a scrawny, middle-aged spaceship engineer (no offence), but not one of Lieutenant Mike Harrigan from Predator 2? Danny Glover representation is sorely needed in plastic form!

MacReady too, dammit!

I second this. Harrigan is LONG overdue. Hopefully with next year being the 30th anniversary of Predator 2 NECA will release him. At this point there’s really no excuse not to. If Brett and Parker can sell there is no reason Harrigan wouldn’t do just as well if not better.

Shit, 2020 is the 30th anniversary of Predator 2? Yeah, we need to get the ball rolling on some sort of NECA/Harrigan campaign. We need that figure!

I don't think their's any likeness rights with Predator 2 (same with Predator, Alien, Aliens). So they have to negotiate directly with Glover or his agent. If he's unwilling (as many actors tend to be), or the price is too high, then no amount of fan outcry will resolve that.

It took until after Harry Dean Stanton passed away for them to be able to secure his rights for Brett from his families estate.

It's always going to come down to the dollars... I've heard Al Matthews (Apone) was always willing to get a toy made but said it just never came to be- I think that was due to tons of fans always asking him about it and him thinking "Well- there must be a load of cash in it if so many fans want one" and NECA sees it more in actual numbers for what they are going to make back on something so niche... I imagine estates/families are a lot easier to work with unless they knew the actor was dead-set against something be made in their likeness.

With Al Matthews, I believe Randy had said on multiple occasions that they've tried reaching out with no response. I know they made a hard press a few years back to get multiple likenesses.

Bill Duke is apparently another one like that. He says publicly that he'd love to have a Mac figure from Predator. But then they only hear crickets back when they reach out to his reps.

It's great that they're finally able to give us Brett. Ideally this will somehow lead to us getting Bud from Repo Man.

I get the logistics behind it, but typically when asked about any number of characters NECA has not done yet, on top of the “No likeness rights” answer Randy will often say the actor or actress isn’t interested in being made into an action figure.

My fear is that NECA hasn’t even reached out to actor like Danny Glover to see if he’s even interested, since the only thing they seem to sight is no likeness rights or limited sales potential. I just wish we got a difinitive answer like ‘no Glover usn’t Interested,’ or something.

I’ll live either way and I truly do appreciate any action figure we can get of major and niche characters alike and I think in time whether it’s within the year or the next ten years we’ll finally get a Detective Mike Harrigan from NECA.

This just leaves Ash. Here's hoping they Dallas and Lambert without their space suits. Not holding out hope for Kane but a face hugged version sans space suit would be awesome.
