This is my least favorite from the wave. She shares pretty mucy everything to Silk but with a gripping hand.

So Peter Parkers daughter slayed the Kingpin and took his position? And she dawns the Spider-suit? Hahaha that's AWESOME if true!

Edit: Anybody know which comics to get to read this?

So apparently my wife has added Ashley to our running list of upcoming ML purchases.

Any suggestions of a 6"-scale shotgun to give her to decapitate crimelords with?

You could always use the one from recent Scourge (Demolition Man) or Marvel Knights Punisher. Deadpool and the new Walgreens Punisher also come with that awfully tiny street sweeper shotgun, which might look better in her hands. I went with the shotgun that came with the Whistler action figure from the original Blade Movie toy line from ToyBiz.

That one looks pretty perfect.

Hobgoblin is easily the best figure in the wave. The paint abs, sculpting, and accesories are perfect.

BTW, when did the whole idea that Ned Leeds was brainwashed into being the goblin become a thing?

Jason was Hobby when I was first introduced to the character, but my understanding was that Leeds was the original Hobgoblin.

It won't let me quote the image and says I'm a new member despite having joined in 2011. I just don't post here often. Thanks for the Spidey comparison image. That really helps. Might just grab Miles then. Not sure the size justifies their current price point.

There has been TONS of reconning with the Spider-Man villains. I love both head options. You got the mask face for cartoon fans and original Hobby fans, and you got the Macendale demon-bonded face, too, which makes me wonder if Demogoblin, an easy repaint/retool can be expected with the next wave, along with the Doppelganger!

I wouldn't be surprised if Demo-Goblin becomes a Walgreens figure.

I was reading Wizard at the time it was revealed that Roderick Kingsley was the original Hobgoblin, and Marvel was making SUCH a big deal about the reveal, about the mystery behind it, the leadup, all this stuff...

...and then it fell flat because nobody knew who the hell Roderick Kingsley was.

Roderick Kingsley is the main and first Hobgoblin but he really likes retiring from the role and then coming back later. Jason may have become the more popular Hobgoblin (hard to say for sure) because of the entire Demogoblin deal but Roderick has consistently returned to reclaim his mantle and usually kills the current goblin. I've actually always liked how Roderick escapes death using substitutes in very much the same way as Doom uses his Doombots.

But who is Roderick? Where did he come from? The comics I read specifically stated Ned Leeds was the original Hobgoblin. Is Ned Leeds just an alias Roderick used?

I'm wondering if this would strictly count as a retcon, since Stern intended for him to be Kingsley very early on, but left the book before the reveal could happen, and other people decided to change his identity before it was revealed.

Honestly, in the case of Hobby, I've never really cared who was under the mask. I felt it made him a different sort of villain for Spidey, one who had no personal connection to him outside of the costumes. Hobgoblin always struck me more as his own character, removed from whoever was wearing the costume.

Macendale was the only Hobgoblin I knew of and I only knew him from the 90s Spider-Man cartoon and the demon version of him fighting Ghost Rider a few times.
