US News reports Hasbro will raise prices again later this year due to increasing costs of supplies as well as the pausing of product sales to Russia. The response to the invasion of Ukraine in recent weeks may cost Hasbro as much as $100 million in sales lost. Prices are expected to increase this summer.

Hasbro Inc said on Tuesday it would have to raise prices further to cope with soaring costs and warned of a potential revenue hit of about $100 million this year due to its decision to pause toy shipments to Russia.
[...]
"To improve product in stocks this holiday season versus last, we're advancing deliveries of key items so that we can ensure they're on hand," said Chief Financial Officer Deborah Thomas on an analyst call.

So Hasbro expects the rest of the world to pay for Russia's folly?

Hasbro sucks.

Screw hasbro! This increase is unwarranted and just a blatant excuse to gouge customers. Hasbro can fuck themselves with their outlandish and outrageous prices increases.

Maybe to offset the costs Hasbro can start making better 3.75” figures again... return of marvel universe?

Otherwise I’ll pass on almost all the 6” stuff at $23+

Not likely. They actually straight up said, we're making less money in Russia, so we want everyone else to make up for it.

Ha well I guess I'll just have to stop buying their products to "cope with rising costs". I put in for some of those preorders yesterday and then I stopped and asked myself "are these really worth what I'm paying for them". I wanted Toad but come on, $35 excluding tax. I've been moving on over the years to other products, other lines, especially original IPs like Mythic Legions, Mezco Rumble Rumble Society, etc. so I might just have to take the permanent shift over to all that. Call me back when they make a Slapstick.

...yet. And as mentioned above, it does indeed show.

But yes, at the end of the day, I may be at my ceiling. After all, I'm already well past what I initially set out to accomplish with Legends, and in my house, ARAH > Classified. Far, FAR greater than Classified. No complaints or rants here- once it hits the level at which I consider it to be no longer worth continuing, I'm voting with my wallet. I encourage you all to do the same- don't be like the Hisstankers; complaining online accomplishes nothing. Pull the plug.

I just got the McFarlane Genestealer from Warhammer for 20 bucks. An inch larger scale, twice the amount of arm articulation, a wholly unique sculpt and better paint apps than what Hasbro is offering right now! I just want my Galactus and then I'm done with Marvel Legends. Let Diamond Select be the main Marvel figure makers, if nothing else!

Their ml 20th anniversary figures are already priced at $44 from where i am and now there's another news from hasbro that they'll increase their prices again? I say my goodbye to hasbro.

People should just invest in other toy lines if the price for a specific line is no longer worth it for them. We can complain all we want but we can always vote with our wallets at the end of the day.

This is why mcfarlane's figures are very appealing to me since last year - cheaper, slightly bigger and aren't too focused on making "exclusive crap" that casual people won't be able to find in stores or online.

Honestly, all I need is Banshee... I mean I already have 90's X-men Gold and Blue teams done, and am only two figures away from finishing both 90's X-Factor and Excalibur. I'm giving up on X-Force... a Longshot and a new Blob would be nice though. Anything Legends not X-related I already considered expendable anyway. I probably won't feel the price increase as much as the people who are still collecting Spidey or MCU figs.

Who wants to bet that with the extremely strict, government-enforced lock downs that are now taking place in China...that we might see another price increase to stack on top of this proposed one before the year ends?

I was priced out of the 1/6 figures hobby when the figures went over $60 per figure. I never thought I'd see the day when I'm priced out of the 1/12 figures hobby. But yeah, when it goes over $30 a standard figure, I think I'll have to bow out, not that I want to, but that I just can't afford it anymore.

Feel like I've already been seeing it. These are the same class of figures and should be the same price but for some reason Bulkhead here is priced £3 more than Blaster who is at the price they've been selling these size of transformer figures for the past year. Usually they at least wait until the next line of figures before upping the prices. lol

Seems like more information is hitting the net, suggesting this only affects the "Wizards of the Coast"-segment, so cards and role-playing games etc.

I suppose I'll have to get used to it. Closed boxes like we'll be seeing with Legends don't bother me much.

Boris is celebrated internationally as an asshat. With Farage, former leader of the Reform UK/UK Independence Party, exiting stage left shortly after passing the measure, the face of Brexit became Johnson. Beyond the Brexit fallout and polarization, Boris has been caught in a steady parade of embarrassing gaffes.
