Good day to you all,

I'm fairly new here and am looking for fellow collectors of the classic 1980s/90s toys, Galoob Micro Machines. I am particularly interested to know if there are any UK sellers on here, looking to get rid of old stock/mint in package items to a good home. My photo page will give you an idea of what I am interested in, so feel free to drop me a message if you think you may have something of interest to me. I am also open to chat about Micro Machines with anyone who wants to, I.e. what themes you collect, what you're after, your favourites, rarities etc.

Here is a link to my photo page:

Thanks!

Who remembers MACRO machines!? These are very hard to find nowadays, and come in three different styles; Turbo Talkers, Smash Ups and Reversibles. Check 'em out! :-)

Thank you! I'm afraid I will never own everything, there's simply too much! It probably looks like I just buy everything I find, but this is far from the truth. I am very selective about what I buy and draw up very specific Want Lists. I think it's important to have focus. Once a collection has been completed, or near completed, I move onto something else.

Oh yeah I LOVE Action Fleet! The only Star Wars model I am missing from my Want List is Jabba's Sail Barge. I also have all 6 Starship Troopers Action Fleet toys, plus all 3 Aliens ships.

It's a real shame Galoob were bought out by Hasbro. Some of the Action Fleet toys due for release never made it to a full production run. I've seen pictures of the prototype Aliens and Predator stuff and they looked incredible!

The most valuable toys from this line include the TIE Defender and the E-Wing Starfighter, so if you have those you are sitting on a pretty packet.

I'm glad I'm strictly an O/T fan. I think the E-Wing and the Tie Defender look odd and ugly!

I think the most valuable ships from the O/T are the Sail Barge and the green A-Wing.

Do you also collect the vintage Kenner Micro Collection?

To be honest I think those two are the only non O/T ships in this line of toys. The only reason I posted their pictures is because they happen to be the most sought after. I rather like the TIE Defender!

I don't have any of the Kenner stuff; my collection is purely Galoob. I'm also not currently interested in any of the Episode 1 Action Fleet and Micro Machines from Galoob/Hasbro, and there are no ships from Episodes 2 and 3 to collect!

They did pretty much everything from the O/T with some variants (blue / gold / red Y-Wing, Red / Green A-Wing, etc) and they did some ships from the expanded Universe too.

They also had three playsets from the O/T (Yavin, Death Star, Hoth). As well as a bunch of battle packs that featured characters from the movies and some smaller vehicles (Landspeeder, AT-ST, Escape Pod, etc).

They also released a ton of stuff from the Phantom Menace.

What that guy said ^^^^

It's hard to say an exact number unless you know all the variants. I have all three Y-Wing and both A-Wing Starfighters mentioned above, but I'm pretty sure there are other variations of other models, such as the X-Wing, and some models that are "battle-damaged" such as the TIE Bomber. There's probably a definitive list somewhere on the net. I own 26 Star Wars Action Fleet, plus the first 8 Battlepacks, of which there are 18 in total I believe. I don't have the 3 bases or any of the Phantom Menace stuff though.

There's also a Predator model; Warrior Transport. It's on eBay for stupid money. And yes, little Rancor is badass!

I'll add a little more; the battle damaged X-Wing, Tie Fighter and Snowspeeder all came with the playsets. There was a regular Snowspeeder and a Metal-Grey variant. There was Luke's and Porkin's X-Wing, and an exclusive Dagobah X-Wing and exclusive Darth Tie Fighter. They also had a walking AT-AT.

They also had some two packs called 'Classic Duels', and 'Series Alpha' which twinned vehicles with a version based on their original design.

Depending on when they were released, some of the Battle Packs were missing one of the little characters, so it's worth checking different versions.

Here's a great site:

I know, right!? Would love to have them in my collection. Unfortunately the prototypes are probably being held by some ex Galoob employee. Sad face.

No problemo.

I really wish they had continued the Action Fleet line with other movies/TV shows. I'm a big fan of Star Trek and Babylon 5 Micro Machines too, and I would love to have seen larger, action fleet style models of some of the classic ships from these shows.

Still, at least I have my miniatures! ;-)

Nice. I do have some of the Star Trek and Star Wars micros as well as a bunch of the cars loose from my childhood and a few from my local thrift store. I too would have loved to see and bought of course, the Star Trek ships if they were action fleet style...

Why don't you start a collection? It's quite a challenge finding all the Star Wars micros, especially all the transforming action sets. They were the first micro sets are started to collect, around 3 years ago, and now I have a complete set.

Aliens, Predator and Terminator all have transforming action sets too, they're great! I have them displayed in a cabinet.

I honestly can't afford most of those sets. The Alien and Predator ones go for a lot for such small toys. I have a few play sets of Star Wars I bought a few years back and a bunch of other random stuff like some Helicopters that fly I've never seen until I found them at the Thrift Store. Plus, I collect so many things. I think I have over 10,000 figures/toys...

I believe they did a Star Trek The Next Generation Action Fleet styled line called... Strike Force? Something like that. There was a couple of Action Fleet sized ships (Enterprise, Klingon ship, etc) an Enterprise playset and lots of mini fold out playsets.

That's right, there was a Strike Force collection. I forget who they were made by but it wasn't Galoob or Hasbro. I once nearly won an auction for a complete set but decided against it and let someone else win. I had totally forgotten about them until you just mentioned them, so maybe I'll rekindle that interest and see what I can find on eBay. The packaging and size were very similar to Action Fleet if I remember!

I'm not sure... but I think I read that the person who was behind the Galoob line was poached by the company that made the Star Trek ones. The ships weren't as good as the Star Wars ones, and way off scale. But I believe the Enterprise playset and some of the mini sets were nicely done with lots of little features (even though the Enterprise was ugly looking).
