You mean the premium color repaint? He was released in Japan last month, I haven't seen anything on him being released here yet. From what I've heard, no QC issues seem to be standing out. He is missing 2 base form faces, and 1 SS face and 2 pairs of hands. The paint seems to be nice and crisp though, and IMO he looks very nice. Pic is not mine, but I think he looks pretty stellar.

It's really up to you, I'd say the faces and accessories are probably interchangeable so if you wanted to you could always just use the extra head/faces to have a base form trunks and a SS trunks (though the skin tones are quite different). Then there's the saiyan armor trunks coming out in May, so you might end up with 3 versions of the same character (which some people have a problem with). I quite like the new coloring, so even if I had the original I'd probably get this one too, the new SS hair coloring is perfect in my own opinion, but it's been getting alot of hate from some people. Of course it all ends on personal preference and depends on your love of the character/design, and your own collecting style. Overall though I have to say the original is the better package due to the extra accessories, but the premium color looks better to my eyes.

I have no intention to buy the Saiyan armor version. I'm not a fan of that version of Trunks.

Mine is waiting in BBTS' pile of loot with Vegeta, but I'm waiting until the new Icons stuff comes out before I ship anything. Still not sure I should really be buying Trunks though since I have the original.

No. Armored isn't out yet. I just ordered the Trunks reissue. Had no idea they were releasing an Armored version. Pics please!?

Stumbled upon some Trunks Gashapon figures on eBay and was thinking of using them for extra heads for the Jakks Trunks I have. Could they work for that sort of thing? He's about the size of a MU figure (I'd say roughly somewhere around 3.75 to 4 inches).
