I've got a growing collection of Marvel Universe figures that are filling up the top of my dresser and I'm a little tired of them continously falling over. It's like a domino effect once one falls especially for the ones that do not have stands. Has anyone figured out a large base that can be made out of wood or something along those lines and make some kind of pegs that go into the wood to place the figures on? With all the amazing customizers on the boards making custom figures and custom stands i'd figure someone has figured something out to help these figures that are known to topple over very easily. Thanks in advance and any input would be appreciated.

Maurauder's has interlocking stands. I don't know how well they work with MU though. Email them. They've always been very friendly.

Thanks for the input so far, any other websites or fellow member offer something? Anyone come up with a cheap DIY?

You can try making peg bases with apoxy sculpt and then shave the diameter with an exacto knife if don't mind the tediousness. MU pegs are pretty small. Maybe you can try a flat thin piece of wood and drill some small holes in it. Make a Poor Man's Flight Stand but without the boom arm or base. Like a doll stand. Then insert them into the small holes you drilled.

You can buy round wooden dowels for dirt cheap especially with the diam needed for the MU figures, might cost like 50cents for a 3-4' piece, get a piece of plywood, marker, ruler, and either a jigsaw, hacksaw or hand saw, and stick the peg in the foot, measure off an extra half in or 1/4 inch, then cut it off, do the same to the other foot, take a drill bit and make the random holes u want make sure not to go through the board only half way or 1/4 way stick the peg in along with good quality wood glue, then paint or stain to desired effect. If you want something more sturdy you could buy steel rods for couple $'s and do the same, you could also make long pegs and sculpt flames on most of it for Iron man or Human torch etc to place on top

Another thing you could do (but this depends if you like to move your figures a lot or just leave them as they are) would be doing what Hasbro does at their comic con stands; placing a little dab of hot glue underneath their feet.

yeh metalchemist I know what you mean, when you look at pics at the Avenger's Boxset you'll see antman and wasp standing still due to a tiny dot of hot glue. I'm on the fence If I want to apply it to my toys, I use it to make some customs but left over time it will take paint off if you choose to take it off. but it is a good idea if you want a permanent display.
