Anyone know how old this pup is?

I found this dog pajama case at an antique shop in Penrith, UK. He is made in England. He has glass eyes, made of mohair I think, and filled with straw. His zipper is by the “Lightning” company. His tag may have been added later. Pocket lining is red satin. No manufacturer tag in tact. I just wanted to know how old he is and any other information you may have! Thank you!

I did a quick Google search, looks like it could be from the 1950’s. But that was just a quick search.
