I am allowed fifty dollars a month to spend on toys and other frivolities.

Normally, I spend a given month's "allowance" immediately, which'd mean, for example, that I might spend my March money early tomorrow.

Just as commonly, I know well ahead of time what I want to buy.

At the moment, however, I am torn in a few directions.

First, I have a vintage Go-Bot Command Center (don't judge me!), but I can't photograph it until I replace its windshield/canopy piece, which is reasonably affordable.

Second, I've had my eye on some of rupertvalero's kickass, trip-ass custom creations for a while now, and I could buy one or two with my March money.

Third, and most likely to invite ridicule, is an obscure Tonner doll. It's an Alice in Wonderland doll, only they call her Alyce for some reason, and the damn thing is nearly impossible to find online, and it'd cost me all my toy funds for a couple-few months if I bought it. But in my defense, it's a kickass Alice:

I've wanted a proper Alice doll or figure for quite some time; I'm a huge fan of Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, and I'd love to explore the character through toy photography, as I have done with Tonner's Judy Garland Dorothy:

For starters, I'd combine her with the recent Card Guard figure:

I'm mostly all about G.I. Joe and the like, but sometimes I study my Flickr photostream and feel discouraged by the redundancy: for the most part, it's Joe figure against rocky backdrop after Joe figure against rocky backdrop.

Monster High dolls and the Tonner Dorothy have added some much-needed variety to my photos, and I am certain I could achieve some fun, creative things with this damn Alice in Wonderland doll, but it's so expensive; it'd be the only toy I'd buy for the next several months!

Ah, First World problems...
