Sorry my first post is a query, but I have been trying to find out the identities of these Batman figures for 10 or 11 years with no joy! I also apologize for the poor quality of the pics - I will try to replace them with better shots when I get used to the camera.

All the info I can give you is that I bought them off a chap in China or Japan about 10 or 11 years ago. It may have been through Ebay, but I think it was through an Action Figure Prototype Collectors Forum, but I lost touch and it doesn't exist any more.

What I would REALLY love to see is photos of the packaged production figures - many of the toys never make it across the Pond, so I don't even know what line they were part of!

Any info greatly appreciated!

Honestly, they look like knock-offs of the recent "Batman" line from Mattel (in 5" and 3.75" varieties), due to both the general design of the figures and the roller blades that Batman is sporting (looks a lot like the ones that come with the recent Flash figure). It's also possible that they could be prototypes for that toy line, but the time frame doesn't sound right. The Batman line I'm talking about isn't nearly old enough.

You can probably do an online search for more images, but here's a link to news story that we did for Toy Fair 2013 that has in- and out-of-package shots of toys from the line.

Thank for that! I'll REALLY try to get some better photos posted, as my Batman figs don't look anything like those. They are more like Ultra-exaggerated Batman Beyond Manga Style.

They could well be knock-offs, I really don't know, but as I bought them so long ago they must be knock-offs of a different series.

I'm trying to post some better pics, these are the best I've managed so far. (No User Manual for camera!)

Anyway, these figs are 5 1/2 to 6" tall, and each is wearing some kind of combat armor rather than a Batsuit. This one has no accessories other than the detachable spikes for his arm.

When I get better pics of the other 2 I'll post them.

The next figure is in underwater gear (I'm guessing), and came with a little vehicle as well as a weapon.

However, I am not entirely convinced that they are the correct accessories for him. Bats has foot-pegs on the bottom of his boots, it is impossible to stand him up. The weird little vehicle ALSO has foot-pegs, rather than peg-holes, so can only be attached as I originally received it. (See photo's)

Lastly, the 'Rocketman' Bats. This all fits together so well that I am sure it is correct, although the 'Bat-Claw' weapon seems out of place. (It doesn't really sit well on either arm.)

If anyone has any suggestions as to further information that I could provide, please let me know. I have been trying to ID them for a long time and I'm completely stumped!

Much better. Those are prototypes of figures from the Mattel toy line for The Batman animated series.

You've got the accessories a little mixed up, so I will go in order of your most recent pics and the base Batman figure pictured in each post:

1. Razor Whip Batman
2. Hover Attack Batman
3. Deluxe Inline Attack Batman

Go here for more info, including what parts go with which Batman:

Awesome! Thanks very much! This is obviously another of those releases that never made it to the UK - I now know what to search for on Ebay USA! Nice one!

Just a quick update - I have found many examples of these Bats on
eBay, but the shipping costs are ASTRONOMICAL!

I can get a loose Razor Whip Batman for less than $5, but the postage is $28!

We are talking about a plastic toy that weighs CONSIDERABLY less
than a kilogram here. How does THAT work?

Are they local or international? Even when they're local, shipping can be insane (i.e. Canadian Post).

If that's not it, it could be somebody is trying to avoid Ebay fees. Although Ebay has changed the rules on that and the fees are calculated on the total cost including shipping now, so that's less likely.

Another even more cynical idea is that they are trying to trick unobservant bidders with a low starting bid/BIN. I see that on Amazon sometimes.

Yo Dude - I may look like4 a new user but I started on eBay in 1995 or 97, something like that anyway. The annoying thing is - there are SO MANY mother-loving Wankers trying to stitch up the situation!

In this particular case, I can confirm that we never had these toys in Britain. (You may be amused to hear that we never 'officially' got Batman Beyond either! We did get the cartoon series - but it was called 'Batman From the Future'!
