I hope that Aoshima continues to engineer toys for Toynami, the Beta is a GREAT sign, and I hope for things to come. Everyone was shocked when that thing finally came out, and I hope that Aoshima decides to make a new Legioss from scratch. EVERYONE wants a suitable Legioss toy for the Beta/Tread MPC to link up to!

I don't know if the Beta would be better, necessarily, since the Toynami was already Aoshima's work. For those who only want to display this combo in fighter mode it could be a boon though, since they can get a cheap blue Alpha from Aoshima, dip the damnable thing in superglue so it can never come apart, and display it that way

I must be in the minority as I like the CM's Legioss more than the Tread. Neither of them lock together particularly well, but the Legioss has integrated landing gear and a greater level of detail than the Tread, which relies on the sucktackular steel boom to keep it steady on the ground. The Tread does pose a lot better than the Legioss thanks to the better hips and poseable head, but the Legioss just looks meaner and more aggressive than the Tread, which looks kind of ... I don't know ... adorable.
This is all beside the point, of course, as this is a Aoshima Tread Thread. Hopefully Aoshima's "upgrades" aren't anything like the "upgrades" they did to the alpha |

I'm mildly curious to see if Aoshima makes any changes or includes any extras (minor though they may be) but otherwise I have zero interest in an Aoshima Tlead unless they make a new Alpha to go with it.
Either way, I'm quite happy with my CMs set, so anything better would be superfluous. |
