Going with the list of upcoming films for 2012:
http://www.movieinsider.com/movies/-/2012/

What are your top picks? What has you excited, or at least mildly interested?

What I know I want to see:
Red Tails
Beauty and the Beast (Probably already out of theaters)
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengence
The Avengers
Brave
The Amazing Spiderman
The Dark Knight Rises
The Hobbit
Titanic

Maybe:
Chronical
Dr Suess' The Lorax
John Carter
Dorothy of Oz
The Three Stooges
Seeking a Friend for the End of the World
Moth Diaries
Dark Shadows
MiBIII
Mirror Mirror
Snow White and the Huntsmen
Prometheus
Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter
Jack and Diane
GI Joe: Retaliation (I've heard they've changed most of the things I enjoyed about the first one. So this seems to be a more bland typical blow-em-up action movie. Bleh)
Total Recall
The Odd Life of Timothy Green
Paranorman
Hotel Transylvania
Cloud Atlus
Frankenweenie
World War Z

The "Maybe" list, most of them are based on names and/or brief discriptions alone. One way or another, they sound either interesting or fun. This list will likely become hugely culled as more info becomes available, such as previews.
Things will either get dropped off, or movied to the must see list.

Total Recall seems promising, because they swear they're not going to butcher Phillip K. Dick's original story, unlike the Ahnold version.
Mirror Mirror, and Snow White might appeal to me, as ABC's Once Upon A Time has *really* gotten me into things doing new takes on fairytales.

And I think that, after finally having seen a preview for it, Brave is my number one movie for the whole year.
Pixar movies are always good, but every couple years they find one that strikes such a chord with me that it knocks it out of the ballpark. The Incredibles, and Wall*E being the other two.

I'll see Batman, Spidey, and The Avengers, in the theater. There will probably be about 3 others that I'll see on a whim. The previews I've been seeing for Chronicle are starting to get me, so I might check that out.

I will probably only see Batman and Avengers in the theaters. Maybe Spidey. Oh, and the wife and I will probably see Breaking Dawn, pt. 2.

Everything else can/will wait for DVD/Blu-Ray (rental/purchase) or Netflix. Having said that, here in no particular order is my list of movies from this year:

G.I.Joe Retaliation
John Carter
Brave
Dark Shadows
The Hobbit
Ghost Rider 2
MiB III

There will certainly be more added to the list as the year goes on.

I must see The Dark Knight Rises in theaters, as well as The Avengers, Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D, Halloween 3D and G.I. Joe Retaliation.

nice i have some similar ideas as well , not going to see any in 3D simply because 3D doesnt work most of the time cause the film is mostly 2D and i have no problems with 2d ( this does inculde cinemas i use Vue but if you know better please say)

I seen the trailer for John Carter" and was like wow wtf is this, kinda a sleeper title but looks awesome, aside from that Avengers is a must I'll be seeing it midnight showing night before, dark night rises, spiderman I'll see as well but not as top priority.

Double Ditto on these.
Saw Underworld Awakening in 3D, which I actually wanted to watch regular, but amazing enough it wasn't that bad in 3D.
Sucks that they're putting more of these movies in 3D and forcing you to almost watch them at their stupid 3D prices at night if you want to catch a flick at night instead of during the day. But I guess it depends on the theater you go to.

Personally, so far my list just consists of:

Haywire
Underworld Awakening
Chronicle (seriously looks too much like 'the source' to me, but I still want to see it.)
Avengers
Ghost Rider
Spider-Man
GI Joe 2
MiB III

And that's about it. The new Batman is doing nothing for me. Superman just hasn't wowed me yet. And the rest of the movies coming out this year mostly look like wait for movie channel airs. Will wait until more trailers hit before I decide on some of the others.

Man on a Ledge

oh wait, I've seen the trailer so I've basically watched the entire movie already.

I'm actually really looking forward to:
The Dark Knight Rises (obviously)
Avengers (duh)
The Hobbit
