I Have some questions to ask:
1.will there be a total heroes action figure five-pack of the new 52 crime syndicate anytime soon?
2.any plans to release the total heroes blank customizable action figure which was shown at NYCC last year?

wow.. that link for the harold ramis question is ridiculous.. it doesn't answer the question AT ALL.. he could've just said no rather than posting a link that answers nothing.

.. also.. for all of the whining about subscribers and goals and whatnot.. they've sold out of a ton of stuff.. you'd think they'd release more of those figure that are sold out.. which could cover costs for other things that people want. i mean.. most of the ghostbusters stuff seemed to sell pretty well.

oh well.

Since the 4H currently designs great 3.75 inch figures too, can the patiently awaiting masses of 3.75 collectors be considered; in your next great incarnation of MOTUC - 3.75?

Apparently getting people to blindly buy is a better more effective way to sell figures then. Putting them up and selling them out anyway. Or making something that people have flat out said they do not want then when posted do not sell as well. None of us are Marketing geniuses but even we see how stupidly backwards this is being done.

You explained well that a new mold Hall of Justice cannot be made (a la Grayskull). Can existing tooling create an alternative? Maybe build on the Collect-N-Connect old Hall of Justice? Example. Add a scant few new pieces, to heighten + widen the old Collect-N-Connect, and you create a bigger Hall of Justice. Overwhelmingly it can (already) be done - by milking the same existing toolings.

It said "Sold Out" last time I looked at it (when I responded to your other post). Apparently, Mattel has decided not to do another run of them for the website.

A simple no would have been far more direct, but I think the answer is rather obvious all the same.

One, Harold Ramis is a lot more than just Egon Spengler. He was a brilliant actor, writer and director. But Mattel only has the rights to that one character of his. So any Ghostbusters-themed items to honor his passing wouldn't be enough, IMHO. Also, doing a real-life version of him using the existing head-sculpt would require obtaining the rights/approval from his estate. Is that the kind of conversation you really want to have right after losing a loved one? "Hey, can we make a toy of your dead [Dad/Grandpa/Uncle]?"

Two, his passing was unexpected. Toy companies can't just slap something together at the drop of a hat, even when it comes to reissues.

Can someone ask these guys how many points of articulation Mr Mxyzptlk will have? He better not be a $30 statue.

I heard (read) somewhere that the Articulation will be Arm & Head only. But look at the Undersized figures we got Gleek, Bat-Mite (2), Tin, B'dg, Despotellis, Dex-Starr, and Porty, most had limited articulation when the 4 inch have more. Why should Mr. Myx be any different then the 8 undersized

Because they weren't $30 each + overpriced shipping.

Is Mxy a pack-in or a stand-alone figure? I believe all the others that CMIII named were pack-ins with other figures (hence the lower articulation level). If he's a stand-alone figure, he will be more articulated than Bat-Mite or the others, most likely.

But I'd love to hear Mattel's response, either way.

I honestly can see Mattel charging 30$ for a figure that only the head and Arms. Come on we are paying $30 for a Repaint Riddler Jordan. I predict the answer will be something like "Had we reached Tier 1 there would have been more be due to the fact we didn't reach tier 1 thats what it will be". Before this gets asked he will be coming with the Repaint Torso of Kalibak.

Actually Dex-Starr, B'dg, Despotellis were together in a 3 pack Dex had 6 as did B'dg while Despotellis had 1

I don't think you are paying anything for that Riddler.

But the reason behind why it exists has already been explained - it doesn't matter whether you like it or not. It's not applicable to the question at hand anyway, since it is fully-articulated as far as a DCUC-style sculpt is concerned.

What I meant was.. I can see Mattel asking people to fork over $30 for the 2nd to last New figure with 3 articulations. There is a Rumor that Mr. Myx was planned to be a side figure like the other undersized with one of the other 8 or possibly the SDCC which became Doomsday. Mattel simply will not comment either way on it any longer. Look at it this way if you want all the figures due out in September and October (not including Superboy) it's $90 up front (not paying DR's fees) for 5 repaints and 1 New figure which is 2 times retail per figure just to have a Repaint varient of Kalibak.

Mx was going to be a side pack in with Superman in the lighter blue costume had the sub gone through.

However, he is being released on his own, so he better have articulation now.

Yes, I know, but I want to see Mattel actually explain why he is worth $30.

HOnestly, the lighter blue Superman was high in demand. If Mattel had actually revealed it as part of the sub, it might have helped a tad. Of course, I could repeat myself on the sub, but I'll spare it as it is pointless at this point.

Define "Fully Articulated". Mattel has always played fast and loose with it. Some figures have had 26 point, others 23, others 21, and others 6, One 3, and One 1.

I fully agree that I want to hear the answer but my gut tells me that it wont be elaborate enough to explain cost on the buyer. It probably wont get answered until SDCC fully

By my definition, "fully-articulated" for a DCUC figure is around 23-26 POA. That's the amount of articulation that is inherent in the standard DCUC male buck (which was used for both Hal and his "Riddler" remold).

But I will be the first to admit that that phrase is very subjective and the definition of it varies quite a bit - not only between toy lines or figures within a toyline, but between companies as well.

Mattel has a great example with the Standard and Movie Masters lines. I picked up General Zod movie masters and he has the same articulations as a DCUC except no Ab crunch. My first word "Woo hoo I got Zod" followed by "What the @$&* ?"

I would agree with you on "fully articulated it's why I am not a Big DCC fan

This is a bit Hypothetical.. But if you still have the rights to DC products in 2016 will there be a Superman/Batman Movie Masters line in 6 inch?

You should know by now that Mattel will not talk about something like that, regardless of their answer. They don't do "hypothetical" when it could involve products currently in-development.

Going purely on speculation, I would hazard a guess that Mattel would indeed produce Movie Masters figures for the Superman/Batman movie, assuming they retain the license for DC toys through 2016.

Mattel's Movie Master lines are a joke. They show off like 8 figures but only actually release half of them in stores. I still have yet to see Zod. It's just like their GL movie line. They made this promise that they were going to do 12 figures to form Parallax and they only released 4 of them in stores and I think 4 more online.

Actually they did release all the figures for both GL and Superman
they were just incredibly hard to come across especially GL due to the movie sucking like a crackhead hooker.
Due to contracts and whatnot they are obligated to sale the advertised pieces regardless else they would face false advertising and other charges.

GL figures I got at Kmart then Amazon when they sold out
Superman figs can still be found (although) hardly in stores
that Superman with key was hardest...but Kmart still had/has some when I was there recently.

Funny thing is TRU actually has them clearancing at 14.98 greentag meaning its another 60% off

The TRU here still has an abundance of the first 5 or 6 Gl figures on clearance.

They were at Ross and Marshalls last year

Thats the problem Trebshot they say the don't do Hypothetical meanwhile everything they do is Hypothetical.. If the MOTU club get what they need they will do this (That is a Hypothetical) so the statement they make about not doing it is a total lie. I more or less want to see if they will produce something DC fans will want eventually. And I have to admit I am as happy as can be that Mattel lost money the 1Q
