There are some on set leaked pics of a character resembling Ultron. It's not confirmed as Ultron, and could possibly just be a film stand in for the actors.

Looks to me like a stand-in. I doubt he will look exactly like that once the CGI is applied, but we will know for sure next year (or sooner).

Not sure if complaining or happy....

Personally, I'm looking forward to it.

Well, I think Marvel will portray Ultron with no physical body. He's like a mix of Jobe from Lawnmower Man, Will from Transcendance and HAL9000 from 2001

*SPOILERS BEYOND THIS POINT!*
But since that's what this topic is for now to avoid the other areas from getting the movie discussions, here goes what I thought of the film!

So far only 2 things I didn't really like about the film.

Ultron's mouth moves in his Ultron prime body which is weird. (You'll notice it in the trailers too!) Love the design, but that mouth moving looks weird outright. It was kinda like they were trying to show Bay that it is possible to do with the solid metal face, but kind of has the opposite effect of showing why the TF movie robot faces work as is.

The 2nd thing is how the hulkbuster fight ends. There really was no other way to end something like that since it did rile the hulk up more maybe past even what widow could do to calm him down, but it doesn't really make sense either with all they've onscreen established about the Hulk. The only other route for that scene would have maybe been to stall until widow could have been there. Not sure. Loved the action scene and humor, but that final ending bit felt a little like that maybe they wrote themselves in a corner. ^^;;

In hindsight, re-evaluating the hulk fight. There are a lot of emotional cues from the character to suggest he may have let the fight end that way because of the harm he saw he was causing on others, which also ties it back to the end of the movie on his actions. So he wanted to get a few more shots in on Stark, and scare the crap out of him, but if you watch carefully, there is a lot of pauses to avoid harming people in the process.

Also, the Veronica satellite is a pretty funny in joke when you consider what the name Veronica is most often paired up with.

Overall, a ton of character development with subtlety. Stark's arrogance comes through loud and clear. We see the progression of Cap coping with his circumstances and adjusting to the modern world. Natasha gets a ton of character development and her relationship with Hawkeye is elaborated on in such a fashion that shows why they are such a powerful pair and friendship even without the romantic connotations not being there. The Banner/Romanov shipping worked beautifully and was poignant. (Also helps establish exactly why she was trying to set cap up with anyone in TWS and not herself.) They start to hint at a possible future scarlet witch crush on the Vision. The new team dynamic is amazing for future films! Overall, the only real complaint I have at all is maybe Ultron's mouth, but even that can be explained away by his own character growth and attempts to becoming a superior life without the trappings of being a lifeless machine. Which also goes back to his creation of vision too.

Oh, and I got a giggle out of the small Red vs Blue nod. They've been tossing those in Agents of SHIELD off and on too.

Anyone else also catch the minor hint of possibly establishing the tech to create LMDs now as well?

SPOILERS

My biggest issues were the

Lack of Falcon use... You have they guy at the Party then show him as a New Avenger but not in the Major Fight.

On top of that no Winter Solider at all, If I am not wrong he become Captain America as does Falcon.

I would have like to have seen more in the Ragnaroc stuff, I read Loki appeared in the scene.

At the end Thor mentions 4 Infinity Gems have been found ummm how does he know this? Quill has one (purple), Tesseract (blue) which is god knows where or with SHIELD, Vision's Head Gem (Yellow). Whats the other that's revealed?

The Aether in Thor: The Dark World was one of them. If I had to guess Thor knows about the four stones revealed so far because of his vision in the cave. And I believe the Tesseract is in Asgard right now. The last time I remember seeing it is at the the end of Avengers when Thor takes Loki back to Asgard and he had it with him.

Yup. Tesseract, Loki's staff, Aether from Thor the Dark World, and there was one in GOTG.

Thor knows of them from his vision. Well, a few he knew of because he interacted with them. Like the Aether and Tesseract, even Loki's Scepter. The GOTG one may have been from his vision only.

According to the MCU wikia.

Tesseract is the space stone. Heimdall has allegedly.

Loki's staff was the mind stone. Vision has it now.

Aether was the Reality Stone. Taneleer Tivan has it now.

The Orb was the Power Stone. Nova Corps has it now. (Which could in theory lead to the more comic like Nova Corps that we're used to. Or at least experiments that create the Nova force that'll be used to power a select few.)

So really, only one was on Earth. The others were sorta brought to Earth if albeit briefly. Right now, only one is still on Earth.

I will say I did like how the Maximoff twins were handled. They say "parents" without saying who, for that matter did they even die, or was the "Father" even their Biological Father so it was open ended enough to be Erick Lensharr

Considering in the comics before they joined the brotherhood, there had been on and off references to adoptive parents etc among other stories about when or where their mom died. Though there's always a way to work it in later if needed, but currently in the comics they've been retconned as no longer Magneto's children... I think it's safe to say that it's a non-issue for the MCU right now.

Soap opera story dynamics are fluid, so it's always possible that later may add more to their story, but as it stands right now, that's highly doubtful.

Please the whole Soap Opera dynamic between Natasha Romanoff and Bruce Banner, Black Widow and the Hulk. All felt like Jane Goodall and the Chimp at times. I really felt the Damaged the Hulk making him look like a Giant Ape similar to the recent remake of King Kong

Agreed with the use of Falcon, you would have thought he would have helped WM in the air battle, but at least they showed him in his comic costume which look awesome. He'll probably be used a lot in the next Cap movie.

I think they are saving Falcon's full costumed premiere for the Cap movie(as in showing what all it's capable of). His TWS suit didn't really have much in the way of offensive measures for the kind of threat they were dealing with in AoU. Which may explain the new suit too and any surprises we may see from it coming up in Civil War.

War Machine's suit on the other hand has armor piercing rounds and heavy artillery. Falcon's TWS suit, not so much.

It would have increased the development of the character since Winter Solider. Right now we have he was Ex-Army special forces, then hanging out with Cap at the Avengers Tower, then in the New Avengers. There was nothing in between and it's Highly Doubtful that Agents of SHIELD will deal with him as they are doing Inhuman stuff. Nick Fury knows the guys around if he was using the Helicarrier and he picks up War Machine he'd pick up Falcon as well and he would likely have new Weapons since Stark was making them for everyone else.

They were already pushing the limits on new Stark tech additions between caps new mag shield, Hawkeye's new gear, Black Widow's stun batons and the Hulkbuster.

Agents of SHIELD won't deal with it at all. Sam isn't a SHIELD agent. This explains the training grounds though too. His new suit might need to be tested still and he may not have been aware it was done or even what all it could do. That's too much ripe material for a quick 3 minute or less scene.

War Machine's suit on the other hand had been previously field tested many times over and hasn't changed much from previous iterations. The suit designs aren't that far removed from his IM2 debut. Not sure why they didn't cover the removal of the Iron Patriot paint job though. Might be something tied to the fact that suit is military hardware only now, and this war machine suit was in mothballs with the helicarrier. (Or Tony had a previous War Machine suit made up for backup if ever needed per the events of IM3 when the IP suit got stolen.) Either way, the War Machine suit has had copious amounts of testing rounds from the previous movies and pilots the same as all Tony's armors. The Falcon gear on the other hand, is a different kind of flight system entirely.

True, but they could have used Falcon to help rescue the civilians at least then, grab someone and drop them off in the rescue boats...that would have been heroic to see.

What was up with BW tron suit? Although it was cool, but still she's stealthy not flashy.
