I know there are a couple characters that have abilities that deny Resurrection, or the Hand of Despair, but Hand of Despair has a cooldown and takes up a slot that could be used for less specialized stuff, and the characters with "anti-resurrection" powers usually don't hit all that hard with those powers.

I've had some luck with Iron Patriot War Machine, but again...he's gotta go first, and "protect" effects are a pain in the butt for him to deal with.

Agree with you there...I may have to switch my Archangel to a Scrapper but then I'll lose his bonus blaster for the hero part which would suck. It's too bad the hero suits don't stick for the pvp bonuses as well.

Haha not me, I'm happy to wait to train, but I do just need 1 more comic and I'll have her. Ouch on the PVP I'm surprisingly at 997 and bouncing around from D to G and back. But it seems like they may have the bugs finally worked out on the Defend side. Either that or a lot of people just stopped PVPing...

I spent a lot on costumes lately because I was bored. So I only have 100 now. I also don't farm the missions at all like I should..

I have just been leveling heroes up. Using a system of getting them to level 11 and then switching them out with others who need levels. Then when all are 11 I will level to 12.

I totally understand, I was buying costumes during the one easy mission to do...Although dang I should have bought tact P5 Cyke too, freaking he's now on my most annoying hero to play against in PVP, he's so OP now. Even running the infil suite, it doesn't hit back the tact Cyke OMG

Y'know, I REALLY wish they'd let you tailor your squad after you see the enemy's team. I guess playdom thinks that'd make things too easy. I just get so freaking annoyed when I'm doing OK running an Infiltrator agent and then: Scrapper Quicksilver shows up, pretty much guaranteeing I'll lose that fight.

Attacks are already mostly easy mode, I don't want them to be easier because it just means you're guaranteed to lose every single defend as opposed to only 90% then. Defends are where the issues lie, not attacks.

Well, glad -you're- having an easy time of it. I'm about 50% on attacks right now. This season has been WAY harder than the last few, and I'm still not sure why.

But the bottom line basically tends to be this: If two or more of my opponents characters go before I do, chances are I lose. I must not be doing something right, because it's getting damn frustrating, and no combination of equipment and characters I can come up with seems to be helping.

Debuffs are nearly worthless because of the Scroll of Angolob/Rescue Status Reset/Scroll of Oricebi Nomaj/Phoenix Fire combination(s).

Buffs are nearly worthless for the same reason.

DOTs are pretty much worthless due to the Shepherd's Staff "Crown of Glory" on top of all the above.

Was going OK with the Lewis Machine Gun until they nerfed it.

So what does that leave an attacker with? Maybe I'm going to have to try to focus on "Shield Breaker" tactics to do away with Rescue's Reconstruction Matrix and recurring shields.

I have Scroll of Angolob that I save until Rescue uses Reconstruction Matrix. Once that's down I give her the White Hot Iron Fist, and that usually takes care of her and tips the battle in my favor.

Scroll is very helpful for her shields, but you can also run people with shield bypass that are still good otherwise like Phoenix. Her L1 goes straight through and can bypass protects as well. Then no reason to comment on what else she brings to the table..

I usually run QS with her because he can also bypass protect and let me finish off anyone that I need to. His weakness are shields because he wastes his turns getting through them. However, his pre-emptive strike is so deadly.

Well, that strategy's kaput for me. 5 attempts, 3 losses, ended up roughly 40-50 points lower in rating than when I started after a -50 defense drop while I was at work today.

Screw this game.

Yup that's what I do, cause the AI will throw up either one of her shields and I'll just strip them and burn them with the Hotshot, I'm tempted to reforge it since I'm at 300 now.
