..it's funny how this stuff trickles out. You'd think when starting a new line they blast it all out.

I see it as more of Hawkeye's jet, which Iron Man built.

You'd think they'd have made Hawkeye and his sky-cycle as a deluxe fig or something....

Sure, when his Assault vehicle or F1 racer from IM2 just won't get him there fast enough.

Throw in Rocket Raccoon and HERBIE and you've got one weird-ass Avengers team.

Wouldn't that be the easiest custom ever? Yellow DD with a Wolverine Head?

That only happens when Hasbro is smart enough to put some thought into a launch. Clearly there was very little thought put into this line, as evidenced by the initial case breakdowns (because having Cap, IM and Thor make up 95% of your first two waves is SMART!).

Also, street dates tend to cause the trickle-out effect, especially when the street date isn't clear, like in this case. The press release and the boxes say 2/27, but TRU's computers say 2/5. Throw into that the store managers that just don't pay attention and put it out whenever they feel like it, and you'll see stuff trickling for a few weeks. If there was no street date, stores would just be putting it out as they got it, and you'd probably see it hit most stores all in the same week, instead of spread out over a month.

That only true from a collector standpoint. This is your hobby and you have disposable income to spend on it. Mom who buy toys for lil Jimmy is not gonna spend $13 on a 4 inch figure to keep double jointed knees. Jimmy probably doesn't even care as long as the figure can sit in his quinjet. As labor and material costs continue to go up sacrifices will be made where it is least noticeable to the majority of consumers, ie kids and parents.

Sucks, but that how it is. I'm sure once the full line hits there will be at least one collector level figure of every major character. This is just the first wave.

While much of what you say is true...if you want "the full line" you'd better preorder online. Given that the first two waves of this line are dominated by figures of three characters that still have their own individual lines on shelves, we may be looking at what could be the most colossal bomb of an action figure line Hasbro has put out in YEARS. Just like Thor, I doubt Wave 3 (and beyond) of this line ever hits mass retail in significant numbers.

As others have noted, aside from a couple or three vehicle offerings and a handful of particular figures, this line looks VERY underwhelming.

Cap and Thor will probably be clearanced out soon. And I assume that lots of Avengers movie stuff is still under embargo cause of movie spoilers. Maybe toyfair will show some more cool upcoming stuff.

I'm mostly a 6" collector, so I'm not too interested in this line anyway, but I did see them earlier an I agree with the sentiment here. They're kinda shitty. Hopefully better stuff will come out or be revealed.

I bought Cap, Ult Thor, and someone picked up a Loki for me but I won't have him until tomorrow. Passed on Hulk, IM, black IM, movie Thor (although he comes with a damn cool hammer effect--something like Symbiote would have in his and Greenskar's displays), and the deluxe figs.

Some are cool, some are not,.. like every other line. I'm sure these figures will sell fine. Believe it or not; Hasbro is kind of successful, I think they know what they're doing whether it's exactly what we want or not.
