Other reviews said not even that. Looks and haves appear to be different. They may have been designed to have more articulation and instead were glued in place.

Man, this is making me glad the only figures I'm getting are to round out what I already have from movie lines.

Cap for the new costume. Hawkeye, and Black widow since they didn't get figures yet. Then Maybe the fusion canon triangle ironman for the MvC3 canon nod and an Ironman that may just end up in the armory while I use the armory one from IM2 for the avengers shelf. Then that just leaves ultimate thor and hawkeye.

Might pick up the Loki just because Loki is such a mischief maker, he doesn't really do action poses anyway.

I kind of wish Hasbro would follow one rule about figures though.
A figure (movie or comic) must be able to do iconic poses or the most abundant poses seen in the movie or comic it is from. Mattel needs to learn this too.

Picked up the Reed Richards, Mark V IM, and Silver Surfer MiniFigs this morning for less than a tenner.

I'll put the big Avengers money into the Helicarrier and a couple Quinjets........
The mini figs should look badass on the helicarrier. Personally, I'm going to use the helicarrier for hotwheels/micromachines scale stuff, with pym particles heroes and baddies duking it out. Helps the big carrier seem even bigger by comparison. It really depends on that side hatch though.

I wouldn't count on it. Not even Iron Man 2 stuff has been clearanced out at most retailers yet. I thought for certain it'd be gone after Christmas, but nope...every retailer around me still has 'em taking up shelf space, and still sells 'em for full price. If IM2 is allowed to hang on pegs for 2+ years, I can see the same thing happening with Thor and Cap, easily.

I have the figure, that's how I was able to take pictures of him,... Ain't no ab/torso articulation. I wasn't just making that up.

Just know going into these that you aren't getting 30 poa and appreciate the positives, or skip the line. I can tell you that while they're down in poa from the previous movie lines, they're pretty different. Hard plastic, nice sculpts, and I mentioned this in another thread but I either saw a very nice case or they invested more into painting the figures because I saw 0 paint flaws out of about 10 figures. The joints that they do have are very strong and consistent and move/roll very freely without being loose at all. This is just me speculating but I think they reallocated funds from the poa (more pieces to make?) into the quality control area.

And these aren't GL movie figs, far from it, but they aren't top end MU figs like DD, BE, Cable, etc, either.

The Target I frequent has Thor marked down to $3.98 and Cap is down to around $5.

Hey, I was agreeing with you! I was saying not even the ab crunch. I've been saying this since the first pictures came out. It looks like Cap should have one, but it doesn't.

I agree - there are more upsides to SOME of the figures than downs (Ultimate Thor, Hawkeye, Loki, maybe Movie Cap).

I'm just thrilled that they have appeared to have fixed those godforsaken hip ball joints, according to the Loki review that was posted on here. If they are all like that, coupled with the better sculpts and paint jobs then I may swayed into get a few.

The hip ball joints on these function incredibly well... they move freely, don't stick, and feel very strong,.. I didn't ever feel like I was stressing anything. I'm not saying these figures are better than anything else; I'm just talking about their hip joints here, folks.

Must be getting ready for the Avenger's movie toy line.

And if I was going to get anything out of this line I would get these, pretty sick.

I hope they make a Hawk and Widow one as well...

19.99 according to HTS...can't really beat that price, but I guess it also depends on how big the armor is.

I'll be getting the IM one. The cap one I'll wait for the obligatory IM3 war machine repaint.

That is one thing to keep in mind on the articulation for these figures too.

We'll be seeing a lot of the same figures for Avengers 2. So this go around has lower articulation, while avengers 2 may have higher articulation. It's a great trick to make people buy the same figure twice.

True, but I would be getting these for the Armor itself and not just the figures.

Thanks and that would be the one. Glad to hear that it's a solid figure. Can't wait to get one. Good pic as well.

All I can think of when I see those mech suits is "Yo dawg, I herd you like iron man armor so I made you some iron man armor that you can wear over your iron man armor, so you can wear iron man armor while wearin' your iron man armor!"

Ha ha ya I was thinking the same actually, they should have made him in his Tony Stark guise, would have been more practical.

Oh and parachute Cap? Yeah I thought he was fully articulated. He is, BUT he's just a repaint of the movie cap from the First Avenger line!

BTW the Mark VII Iron Man mold is already used 3 times in the 1st wave WOW! Hulk looked disappointing. Bet Loki lacks articulation compared to the King Loki from the Thor line.

Hope we get fully articulated 4" figures, because right now all I want are some of the vehicles, the Quinjet and Assault Armors. I was already turned off by Marvel movie lines in general due to the softer plastic they make the figures out of, but wow, Avengers had much potential but leaves me underwhelmed.

I couldnt have agree with you more.. This line is Horrendous.I laughed out loud in the store looking at these..Hulk is a disgrace. This is a line for kids who dont give two craps what the figures look like or how they are made aslong as the have their heroes. This is no collectors line.

The bad thing about this line is this: the best figures are not in waves 1 and 2. As bad as these initial figures are, it is quite possible we could get a repeat of Thor and IM2 - the best figures will be hard to locate and primarily on the west coast.

There is a figure included right in the package along with the exo-suit. We have a pretty good idea of how big it is.

To be fair, it ISN'T a collectors line. It basically is for kids, so that's why they look unappealing to you or I. I think they are doing some fan service by including Ultimate Thor and Hawkeye though, they totally didn't need to add them, the average 10 year old wouldn't know who they were.

I think 'best' figures are subjective, especially in this lot. I imagine Ultimate Thor will be among the 'best' for collectors in the end.

Misguided fan-service. Most kids won't know who those guys are, we will, but most of us who have seen the figures are disappoint. If this line is all about catering to kids, might as well gimmick it out to hell, because so far I only want the vehicles, Assault Armors and 6" figures.
