Is the green marvel legends huge compared to the hulk line?

^ Great pics on the previous page; cap doesn't look half bad IMO.

Saw these figs at my TRU today... they were $11.49 each. Yikes. I never
thought I would see 3.75" singles reach that high at normal retail.

Finally left my house to go toy hunting. Got the loki from this line. I'm not just hating, but I really don't like the rest of the line. It's awful. Feels rushed

Eh? The Thor line was good for what they were (meaning "a line without a comic series) and the Cap line was pretty great. Lots of the figures were very well made.

I am disappointed in this line though. How in the world did they not do an IM2-size line with a huge comic series line? It makes no sense.

Hasbro had a HUGE opportunity to expand this line. The Avengers have 40+ years of history of expanding member rosters and villains. Over the years, the Avengers have racked up at least 60 members, yet they only marketed seven.

Oh and parachute Cap? Yeah I thought he was fully articulated. He is, BUT he's just a repaint of the movie cap from the First Avenger line!

BTW the Mark VII Iron Man mold is already used 3 times in the 1st wave WOW! Hulk looked disappointing. Bet Loki lacks articulation compared to the King Loki from the Thor line.

Hope we get fully articulated 4" figures, because right now all I want are some of the vehicles, the Quinjet and Assault Armors. I was already turned off by Marvel movie lines in general due to the softer plastic they make the figures out of, but wow, Avengers had much potential but leaves me underwhelmed.
They may be missing a bit of articulation but they do have some fairly decent sculpts. I picked up a few of them and do like them. Just the basic figs and not any of the stupid extra parachute, ridiculous equipment figures. I did see the quinjet and am debating whether or not I would pick it up.

Okay, I'm not much of a Marvel guy so please excuse my stupid question. . .I've only been collecting 6" Marvel-Legends-like figures of movie characters. So I have the Walmart exclusive Thor, Nick Fury, Captain America, Mark IV Iron Man/Tony, Mark VI Iron Man, and War Machine.

Do we know yet if there are going to be figures like that for the Avengers movie? I've been trying to look around the forums here and I think the answer to my question is "no," at least so far. Maybe they just haven't announced stuff yet.

There will be. I wouldn't expect them out until closer to the movie's release date due to it being such a small line.

yep, they had the figures up at NYCC last year and maybe SDCC. the lineup so far is Cap, Hawkeye, Thor, and Loki. for some reason i can't remember seeing an Iron Man figure shown. also i heard somewhere that they're gonna be a store exclusive. dunno which one though but my money would be on walmart if this is the case.

Hulk looks 10x better with his classic purple pants. Wish they would actually let him wear them in the movies.

GOOD.

Far better to have excellent MU figures of those Avengers- even if it takes forever- than to get all 60 with crappy artculation and godawful gimmicks for ten bucks a pop!

With MU, we already have most of the Avengers lineup- we're missing mainly the core female figs of the team- we're getting Scarlett Witch and She-Hulk, but still need Tigra, Moondragon, Mantis, Sersi, Crystal and Mockingbird to have all the classic team members.

Then they can focus on the more obscure (but cool!) members like Living Lightening, Magdelene, Swordsman, Jewel and Wolverine.

mockingbird and a heroic age hawkeye are what i'm down for. also i wouldn't mind them redoing the past figures in those comic packs. that'd be ideal. redo storm, widow, jean, spiderwoman, mystique, ms marvel, or actually, just all of em.

Storm from the box set is perfect once you cut a slit in the back of her glider wings- she looks great in the current release too since they sorta went retro with her current outfit.

We'll get that new Black Widow from the light up- of make your own like I did. Either way, it's a perfect figure for her- much better than the carded version.

Jean...well yeah, that needs a redo- i'm frankly amazed they did ot make a carded version of her in green and gold or white and gold- she could match Iron Fist!
Damn, Danny, always dressing like Jean....just come out already- we all know.

I think the "Dark" Ms. Marvel is perfect- just headswap it onto the older MU body.

.
Buh.

Really fantastic! Did you swap the head with the MU hair or sand her jawline or something? It definitely looks like you repainted her face- new eyebrows and red lips at least.

Really great presentation!

haha thanks man! i think i just repainted the the eyebrows, eyes, and lips when i fixed up the original body a long while ago. did trim from inside the jaw area but not the chin itself. then a few weeks ago repainted the x23 body and tried phoenix and widow hair on a repainted x23 head but... didn't work out. so reglued the hair back onto the original head and called it a day.

Retailer exclusive in summer, after the movie but before the blu ray and dvd release. No word on which retailer.
