I didn't think Spider-Man and Wolverine could show up on Avengers though.

Just finished the latest Episode, awesome! Not a big Hulk fan but he's hilarious in this series, my favorite character among this cartoon next to Hawkeye. And yes Ms. Marvel was hot in this episode.

I LOVED today's episode. Scott Lang/Ant-Man was great, the Heroes for Hire were awesome, and Hank now has the opportunity to switch over to his Yellow Jacket identity. I couldn't place Luke Cage's voice. It sounded so familiar but couldn't figure who it was.

I like how they foreshadowed Pym's transition to Yellowjacket.

The comment Hawkeye made about Rocket Raccoon in the preview for next week's episode tripped me out.

Just finished last week's episode. Kree/Ms. Marvel/Sword all in one episode is great. Ms. Marvel was awesome, especially with Jennifer Hale as the voice.

If this is true it's yet another Leob fail. I do understand that cartoon shows generally have a short life but when it is successful and you are going to replace it with a show about the same characters you are just being a fool. Sounds like the guy always wants to have everything to his preference regardless of what everyone else thinks or how successful it is. Season long and mult-episode arcs are a mark of nearly every great TV show. The shows that focus on stories contained to one episode are, with a few exceptions, some of the dumbest and least worthwhile things on TV, even if old people watch them like crack. Shows are just better when they have the time needed to tell their stories and don't rush to fit it all in 22 or 44 minutes.

My sources have also added that not to expect an official announcement until the fall, as Marvel does not want ratings to drop for the second season of Avengers Earth Mightiest Heroes which has just started on April 1st and is being met with a tremendous positive response.
If that it true I would say everyone should just stop watching now and only download online so they don't have their cake and eat it too but that wouldn't help.

Marvel always does this with its best and most successful animated properties. Wolvie and the Xmen was the best marvel cartoon in 15 years and they shut it down as soon as it got real legs with fans and critics. Spectacular lasted awhile longer and had established itself with fans even more, but they did the same thing with that show.

If this does end up happening, it will be a real travesty. Arguably their 3 biggest properties (xmen, spidey, and the avengers) all get fantastic and well written shows after years of waiting and they cancel all three themselves. That would be something.

Totally agree with you on all those points, just finished the latest episode last night, totally awesome introducing Scott Lang.

I think that he problem lies with these shows never appealing enough to the target audience. Sure its gets good ratings, but from whom? Most likely its us. The network clearly wants a show to appeal to the kids, but every time they find that its the older crowd who keeps watching these shows. Thus, the cycle starts all over again, one experiment after another. Thats why they're trying for another shitastic Ultimate Spidey type show.

They should just keep all of them running than, if it works for the adults great, keep showing it to us, and than get another group to do a kiddie version. =) Win Win situation right?

The problem here is that they don't recognize their true audience. Yes there are two completely different markets for comics, tv, action figures, etc. for the marvel brand. The adult/lifelong/collector type and the young kids.

Their thinking is this, appealing to people who are already diehard fans (and guaranteed to dish out the cash for toys, movies, comics, etc.) is a waste of time. Simply because your not gaining a new audience, with appealing to the kiddies their thought is that they are securing the marvel fan base of the future. Grab a kids attention when he's young and you have them forever, the theory obviously works swimmingly as attested by the amount of all us fans who started at watching or reading the characters at a young age.

They think by establishing a new fan base for spidey and then one for the avengers will guarantee a whole other revenue stream for the next generation of marvel movies, television, and comic books. It's sad to say, but this is how a business operates.

Plus they know that even if their fans love a show, they won't bail out on the brand now just cause it got cancelled. They figure they'll get over it and will still always have that persons interest in anything marvel related anyway.

Isn't it sad that we lifelong fans get punished for our loyalty? I get that you want to start new fans every generation, but why isolate your older fans?

I, for one, got very much into the Avengers because of this show. When I was a kid reading comics, the Avengers team was kinda in flux, and frankly, not that interesting. But due to this incredible cartoon, it has given me the desire to pick up trade paperbacks that I wouldn't have been interested in before. Interest = $.

I don't know why they feel they need to dumb things down for kids. If it's good, everyone will enjoy it. I know I always bash the new Spider-Man show, even though the last few episodes have been getting better. But they have made those characters so obnoxious that they're not even likable. Is that what appeals to kids today? Nothing but backtalking and being a smartass? I only watch the show after it's been DVR'd and anytime Nova comes onscreen I fast forward. I won't watch that guy.

And don't kids HAVE a Marvel show aimed at them? Super Hero Troop? Let's let them have that and we get our much less simple minded, story and character driven shows. Thanks Marvel.

Ya UMS is getting a little better, thank God that they make White Tiger the way she is and Iron Fist, agreed on Nova a bit annoyed.
Yup Super Hero Squad, and come to think of it I think that show was better at USM, but alas another cancelled show.
