Remember Exiles? I remember at first the series bored me a little, but as the team progressed and changed I got more into it. And then Spiderman 2099 came on board. I liked how the team wasn't so fully X-Men focused then. It just made more sense. Well, then they went to a world where Sue Storm was Madame Hydra and she managed to turn three of the team into Hydra soldiers, as well. Blink, Longshot, and Spidey. I loved his outfit and finally got around to making it. Amazingly, this is my second Spidey 2099 custom.

The biggest issue in pulling him off was the wrapping around his arms. Well, I found some very small ribbon and gave it a shot. A slow process, but it worked out nicely. The wrapping on his left arm actually came out more accurate than his right. No clue where the belt came from. It had a sheath on it that I cut off. It fit perfect and was a great match for the one he wears in the comic. I mixed a couple paints to get the lighter green. It didn't come out to an exact match, but much closer from where it started. Simple repaint, and done.

Recipe:

Base - MU Spiderman
Head - MU Spiderman 2099
Belt - no clue
Hands - WO Movie Deadpool

Nice. You should totally use that recipe to make a badass 3 3/4 Green Arrow.

Really all you need is a new head and a bow with some arrows attached to his back. The body and paint scheme are all already pretty Green Arrow-esque.

Cool! The belt looks like IG Destro. Love the wraps.

Trned out great! You should make evil Sue Storm and Wolverine from that timeline!
Pelitier's art on those issues was amazing-- too bad Claremont smoked the extra big bong of crack with his writing on those- saying Betsy can "telekineticly alter he spin of her molecules to become invisible" is just beyone insane, That would make her a match for the Molecule Man!

Claremont man...put down the pipe!

Still, great custom you've made!

That's the one. I just kept thinking it looked like a pirate. And I was completely baffled as to when I would have gotten a pirate figure. lol But I did have that Destro, and that's where it came from. Thanks.

Actually been planning that Sue Storm. Just getting all the parts together. May try the Wolverine too. Just for something else to work on. lol

And yeah, that series was going great til Claremont got ahold of it. I've liked almost everything he's ever done, save for Exiles. I know he loves using the girls he made, but that was taking it just a bit too far. Of course there was another writer who bested that idea later by doing the same thing, just more logical. Had Emma Frost just make everyone think she wasn't there. lol

Thanks for all the great comments!

Well, Emma's powers could actually do that at least!
Doctor Strange used to pull that all the time- anyone he was not talking to would immedeately forget him. Made it easier than explaining the mystic bolts and pimpin' cape.

Onyxphionex has resin casts of the FF box set Sue head for like five bucks- just paint her up with arched sysbrowd and a crazy look in her eyes...and green lipstick, of course!

BTW- EXiles is being released in Omnibus trades now- a dozen issues per trade. Pretty sweet as I had missed part of the first series.
Reading Exiles made me a fan of Bird Boy of all things! There's a figure that'll never ever get made by MU!

I'll have to check out that head then. Might just be what I need.
