Toonami returns May 26 on Adult Swim

Can't believe nobody posted about this yet?

It all depends on what they are showing. I could go for a little Dragon Ball or DBZ seasons after The Cell Games. Maybe a lil One Piece, Big O, Gundam Wing and 008 MS Squad or something like that. Still good news either way.

Just seeing the intro with Tom(aka Steve Blum) would be well worth it to stay up. Hope they get some new anime soon. Maybe Fairy Tail, I could only dream.

I don't get what the big deal is about Toonami, myself. It's just a package. It's what they put *in* the package that matters, and that will probably be the same stuff they have on now.

Okay, same old crap they used to have on, then.
Though how they're being allowed to show DBZ is puzzling, since Nickolodeon has it.

Though, I'll admit it's nice to see Tenchi being shown again. Too many narutards in the world.

Still don't understand the big hulabaloo.

Nick has dbz kai. The terrible attempt at making dbz better. Tonami is huge cause its so nostalgic.

Maybe that's it then. Nostalgia has always been an emotion I never understood.

Though, DBZ, DBZ Kai are both the same thing to me. They both make me want to shoot myself after a minute or so. :P

Heard rumor of this end of last year but when April 1st happened I figured that is all it was. Too bad I live in Canada now.

What made Toonami great was how simple but immersive the block was. It made you feel like watching from start to finish even if the next show didn't look interesting. More often than not that next program ended up becoming a show I liked. For a long time Toonami was the only way to consistently get anime in the U.S. and it exposed a generation of fans to stuff we otherwise wouldn't have had access to.

Plus when you have Marvel XD and whatever channel that's showing the DC stuff too you're competing against.

Toonami is Cartoon Network. The same channel that airs the DC stuff.

and from the sound of it, it's replacing their saturday night adult swim lineup, so it wouldn't compete against either.
(DC Nation is on saturday mornings, and Marvel Universe is on Disney XD, sunday mornings, but repeated a couple times through the week. Though, this is Disney XD, so the marvel stuff will probably not stay there for much longer)

What do you mean the Marvel stuff won't stay on Disney much longer? Isn't that the whole point of Disney owning Marvel?

I can't wait to see the new line up, Bleach is a given, but I wonder what else they will show. I'm all for repeats of DBZ, and Gundam Wing. But I wouldn't mine newer anime like Fairy Tail, and Gundam 00. I guess they will include the final episodes of Inuyasha as well.
Just have to wait and see May 26. Even if they just keep all the shows they already have, and just have Tom(Steve Blum) do the intros, I'll still be happy. It just takes me back when Cartoons on TV had some balls. Back in the day there was no problem if people got killed in Gundam Wing when they showed it at 5:30pm. Now parents would have a fit if they that on TV.

Compared to the mound of garbage Adult Swim has been airing these past few years with useless comedy, Toonami is like a miracle.

I never said it won't stay on disney. I mean timeslot. Disney is godaweful about not leaving *anything* alone in a consistant timeslot on Disney XD (Unless it airs in the middle of the night, like Gargoyles).
It'll be even worse if Disney decides they want to move it to the regular Disney Channel first, like other original Disney XD shows (Phineas & Ferb). Then Disney XD becomes a secondary concern, and loses anything even resembling a pretense of consistancy.

I've never seen the entire first season of EMH because it was on at a different time and day every single episode it seemed, for the last half of the season.

Wow you need to catch up than, heck each episode builds into each other especially the first season.

That makes more sense. The way it was written it seemed like you were saying the network wouldn't keep it around.

Fair enough. With hindsight I can see how it would read that way. Sorry for the confusion.
