Holy cow. Just spent some time studying the images at those links you posted. The detailing is fantastic. The Falcon in particular stands out for me, with all the subtle changes. And internal lighting?!

This is not quite the same old bird. Most obvious difference is the replacement sensor dish, since Lando lost the original. Studying ship scenes in the movie is gonna be fun. I hope it's not changed too much.

First look at Phasma. As expected, she's chrome and spectacular.

Also a look at how BB8 works; the stand holds the head in place while the body can rotate. Interesting. I still want to see if I can get some magnets in there.

*EDIT: Also, Ep. VII Stormtrooper review up. Looks SO GOOD, and requires almost zero paint.

1/12??????????????????????????

Amazing looking line... has anyone commented on the sturdiness of these kits? Like most models, I'm assuming they're somewhat delicate after assembly and might not hold up to frequent handling, but it'd be nice to be wrong on that since I really want to pick up a few! lol

They're pretty durable from my experience. They are snap together, but the joints can be pulled apart, so you can remove an arm for instance and then just put it back. They are light compared to a normal action figure because the limbs are hollow and not solid plastic like a typical toy. I think they're great and everyone should try them.

I never built a model before, but I've gotten all of these. They all come with water slide decals and stickers, which I use. A few like Boba Fett would require paint for the damage, but troopers and Vader look fine without any additional paint to me.

Oh man. 1/12 Kylo Ren announced for April.

STAR WARS PLASTIC MODEL - ???? ??????

I'm seeing the movie this weekend (like everyone else, I assume). Hope he's a cool enough character to warrant picking him up. Can't wait to see the kit anyway.

Does anyone know what type of paint should I use to paint a Bandai Millennium Falcon and what colors should i use? Also is it okay not to airbrush the whole thing with a primer and just use brushes to do details? Thanks...
