What's really amazing was during a recent interview with Pixel Dan, the amount of excuses as to why shipping had been "inconsistent" that Megalopolis gave was overwhelming. Wildfires, pandemics, stuff stuck on docks, switching to a new computer system, labor cuts, their carriers refusing packages, riots and unrest in our streets, a shortage of toilet paper, UFOs, flying squirrels, and Carol F'n Baskins. If there was something they could blame it on, they sure as hell did.

The softballs that Pixel Dan was throwing them were pretty ridiculous as well. My 6 year old could have cranked one of those 400 feet into the upper deck. I wonder if we can consider these "influencers" to be representatives of the community sometimes. They have access that many of us could only dream of, and they always seem more concerned with keeping themselves in good standing at the expense of their own integrity within the community. Watching that interview, and seeing how quick Pixel Dan let them off the hook so he could plug Barnyard Commandos for them was genuinely disappointing.

I like Pixel Dan well enough, but ever since that goofy thing with the primeval DC stuff I haven't really been into his stuff.

He's too softball.

Imagine if that NECA interview had happened elsewhere how bad it would have been.

I remember Barnyard Commandos when I was a kid, but they never really caught on. Madballs had that end of the market covered, and otherwise it was GI Joe everything or Ninja Turtles. BC was just too 'little kid'.

I know, I know, some people just love retro... but kind of like playing pong as a kid, I kept waiting for the day when I could be in first point of view in a good looking game. Going backwards is tough for me. I don't mind retro, but I need it to have evolved in some way other than just be more expensive.

As far as distribution- all Megalopolis fulfillment including Premium DNA is moving to Shipmonk as of November 1st. They are the absolute best. Same day shipping and delivery in 2 days in the US. Also customer service is being taken over by an expert agency.

I realize answering questions on here or in interviews it’s easy for answers to feel like excuses. It’s sort of hard for them not to. So let me be very frank- our shipping has been terrible. Our customer service has been terrible. The “why” is maybe not as important as just acknowledging it and changing it. We have not been good in those areas, so we’re going to have them handled by companies that are the best at them. It’s an overdue change.

In response to the comment about Mega and DNA being separate- that’s correct. Essentially both companies are backed by the same investment firm. The creative teams are the same, which is the Mega strength. Operations, where Mega has struggled, are different. But again, that’s all being moved and overhauled for November launch.

Hope that helps!

I mean did you even look at these? The originals are static and you just plug the weapons in their back. These are larger and fully articulated and come with more accessories.

It just seems silly to give them all this articulation when half of them need to be four-legged to use their weapons.

It makes more sense in hand. There’s a lot of ways to pose them on all fours. Leaning, crouching, bent, etc. The Ram can also stand up and use his missile backpack as a free standing weapon. They can do a lot.

Maybe I'll get one of these...hmmm. The brighter color scheme of the originals isn't there. Kinda disappointed but maybe it's just not for me all around.

The larger scale is conflicting for me. The oversized 1:12 scale feels more like 1:6 scale. I don't feel like collecting everything because it's too big. Smaller 1:12 scale side figures, like the originals, make me want then all. The big scale makes me want maybe one or two figures to display like they are "2UP's". I felt the same way about the Madballs. Only ended up ordering one. Maybe I'll get a few more over the next couple waves. But not everything.

When they talked about Battletoads with the Mega Guys, they said some BOSS FIGURES could be 12-14 inches. Holy balls. That is like a normal 1/6 scale figure. I know that big is cool, in a way. But it's feels like they are going WAY TOO BIG.
It makes more sense to me now when I consider what they said about pushing the innovations of action figure articulation. The figures are huge, it's much easier to engineer and articulation at that size.

I'm not knocking them. The toys look really good for what they are. But if they are generally going down this huge "1/12" scale road, and going with this realistic statue paint job style...I sadly know I won't be collecting much. If they went with a scale slightly larger than the originals I'd be in. They would be cheaper, smaller, and more collectible in the masses.

Less space, less money, more figures.

I really hope these succeed so Premium DNA can move on to Battletoads, and other Rare properties. ^^

I'm not really feeling these new iterations. Had they just re-released the old ones at half the price, I would've been all in. As it is, I just don't feel comfortable supporting Megalopolis - even through BBTS.

I only support them because of their passion for the Premium DNA line, and because they said they got an action figure deal with both Interplay and Rare.

I'm fully aware that they're response and delivery times have been lackluster, but if they can make their own action figures that turn out this good, then I still believe in their efforts.

Can't agree more. These guys are incredibly sketchy. It's amazing they think they can make their own line and have people support them. Hope everyone knows about them and doesn't let these scammers take their money.

Yeah but what about listing things in stock, charging you, then not shipping anything at all? THEN when you finally get a response from them they charge you a restock fee for something they never had. These guys suck and won't get my money, no matter what cool licenses they have.

Yeah, that's a really shitty business practice, for sure. I started reading about lots of issues people were having with them. Personally, I had zero issues the times I've ordered from them. I actually liked how they took pics of the product before packing them up. However, the tons of complaints are absolutely undeniable. Really hope they get their act together, because these original lines they've been working on are exciting.

I read a release of theirs the other day where they addressed all the efforts they've done to fix the issues people have been complaining about. Things like no more restocking fees and the ability to cancel an order immediately. I guess time will tell if they can put their money where there mouth is, but at least they seem to be addressing the problems.

Well, November's almost over, and they still haven't shown anything new about their Battletoads, Earthworm Jim or even Clayfighter figures.

I'm beginning to wonder if those lines have been cancelled. -_-

So they're just delayed because of COVID-19 related problems?

Oh good, I hope this line works out, I’ve pre ordered the Earthworm Jim stuff coming next year on BBTS, I’ve been reading some negative comments on here regarding the company producing this stuff, it’s got me a little worried the Jim figures might not see the light of day
